Are you saying Life Christian Academy is kaput?

The guy running it the HC took a job as HC at a real high school.  One of the assistants was supposed to take over but I think it fell apart. They canceled from the Ohio games. Haven't heard anything from them since. Kids always get left holding the bag when these things fall apart or when the guy running it takes a job and leaves. Just like the Coach from Friendship Collegiate Abdul-Rahim when he left for Alabama, then Maryland, then UMASS, now BC. They use these projects as a stepping stone many of them.

I hereby nominate the Pro Development Institute with campuses in Cocoa, Florida and Urbana, Ohio.  Don't know much about them but they do have a one-page web site with no address or identifying information.  Totally not sketchy.

The Ohio pictures on that site are of the old Urbana University campus that GSB swore the guys from BS was acquiring for BS High. You know with their wealthy unknown donors... I swear you can't make this shit up...😂

It’s hard to imagine any coach using UMass as a stepping stone in any sport, except maybe hockey, and after this past season, maybe not even that.

So is spring 7-on-7 inter school competition allowed in Virginia?

Certainly Pastor Fitzgerald wouldn't do anything against the rules...🙏😇

Really LCA is basically an independent and can do what they want. Coach Scott would be breaking the VHSL rules already but he's been doing that since the Central VA Hurricanes rec days..allegedly..lol

VHSL Rule

27-7-1 OUT-OF-SEASON PRACTICE RULE-All VHSL member school sponsored athletic

teams are restricted from any organized activities during designated "dead periods." Out-
of-season dead periods shall be 10-day periods beginning with the fi rst permissible practice

date of a sports season as published in the VHSL Calendar. A summer "dead period" for
all athletic teams shall be from Sunday through Saturday of the week containing July 4th

(Week 52 or Week 1 of the NFHS Standardized Calendar). During dead periods, no coach-
ing, observing or contact between a coach(s) or player(s) may occur in the VHSL member

school sponsored athletic team or activity involved. There may be no VHSL member school
sponsored practice, open facilities, weight training/conditioning, out of season league(s) or
member school sponsored clinics/camps. Outside of dead periods, all VHSL member school
sponsored activities may occur on any day except Sundays. Team vs. team competition
may occur only in camps or leagues. Schools, districts and/or regions may impose more
restrictive guidelines.
VHSL catastrophic insurance is not applicable to any out-of-season
activities. Out of season participation shall not be mandated of any student.

Regarding LCA they are basically in the same boat as SFA.  The school is members of the VISAA (Virginia Independent Schools Athletic Association) but the football team is not eligible to play VISAA teams or in the VISAA playoffs. Unlike the MIAA the VISAA are associate members of NFHS.

So technically by LCA using the VISAA proxy membership to schedule games they are technically supposed to follow the VISAA rules which we know they do not just like SFA doesn't follow MIAA rules.

SFA although is taking it a step further and holding spring practice and a spring game which isn't allowed by any Maryland, PA, VA, DE or NJ athletic association.

As stated in the rules that OldTerrapin posted, VHSL allows it but it has to be part of a league or camp/tournament, can't be a standalone game.

VHSL eliminated most of their offseason practice restrictions in 2011, there was a push from smaller schools to have them reinstated a few years ago but it failed. A lot of school systems have their own more restrictive rules.

The Top 2 scam schools this year are the Pro Development Institute campuses in Urbana, OH and Cocoa, FL.  They claim to be boarding schools offering football, soccer, basketball and baseball.  Somebody paid $8.5 million for an old abandoned rural college campus in Ohio and it's still empty.

Will they make it through the season?

Maybe they can merge with the cultists at Clearwater Academy to complete the scam both on and off the field.

Didn’t GSB post several “baller alerts” over the past couple years about supposed D-1 recruits at LCA?  Weird, huh?
