A Loss In Packer Nation...

I personally lost a REALLY good friend earlier this morning.  And Packer Nation lost a diehard, no holds barred supporter.  Lime Sink flags at half-mast.

RIP Big Mike.  I will miss you more than I can post.  Just a Great Berlin Boy...a Great Packer...Great father...and all around GREAT guy.

Lord Oh Lord...what a Father's Day......

There is no doubt that Mike will be missed by this community as a whole and especially the sports community in Moultrie. I've been seeing and speaking to Mike around town for years, but if you ever really wanted to see him but didn't know him like someone such as Rufus did, all you had to do was go to a Packers football game. I've honestly seen and spoke to him at games or practices for almost every sport that I watched or supported in some way. Even at the Magnolia Sports Complex around the rec. baseball diamonds coaching or watching Wes play ball.

As Rufus already mentioned, Mike was just an all around great guy, and he was taken far, far too young.

My heart goes out to his family, most especially Wes on this Father's day, and his work family as I know they will miss him also.

There's never a good time for something like this, but damn if this wasn't some pretty rotten timing.

Mike reminded me SO much of his dad...Mr. Wesley.  Always upbeat...always willing to help.  He'd give you the shirt off his back and not look for anything in return.  It's just hard to understand why it's the GOOD ones who seem to leave us early.  I'll tell ya one more thing....if you look up in the sky...and you happen to see a star shining brighter than the rest....it's probably Mike.
