I know this...?!

Lol someone ran outta bud and is grumpy today ehh?

Seriously! Folks get on these boards and act if this is their job, their life. They take it way too serious! No one is getting paid to post here. If it's that serious take their ass to ESPN or Fox Sports. Can't even have a little fun with an OPINION post without some politically correct jackass putting their two cents in.

I wouldn't have BG 1... top 5 yes.

BC doesn't belong in top 10.

Rest of the list looks pretty good can be shuffled around and no one should have an issue.

I think Mater Dei will probably be #1 in most polls. Just went with BG based on the fact they are the champs until they get beat.

First off u need to do some research before u put Bergen catholic in top of 10 before St. John's

bc is irrelevant until they can win a state championship,,,, on what facts are they the best team in NJ ? They have not won the big game in like 17 years

Let's have a little bit of fun. My top ten consists of:

1. BG

2. IMG

3. Mater Dei

4. SJB

5. Grayson

6. STA

7. DeMatha

8. De Soto

9. Bergen Prep (NJ)

10. American Heritage-Plantation

IMG over BG for starters. BG lost Tate Martell and the backup should be better than average, 4****, but is still an unknown. The BG O-Line was decent to above average, but they lost lots to graduation. Ali Walsh, Grand Son to Ali, is Gone also.  BG brings back a decent WR and RB. BG defense should be decent this year with a few impact players returning.

IMG had 118 on the roster last year. That's about 8,000,000 in tuition. I'm sure lots of parents paid the 70,000 dollars for their sons to play on the 2nd Varsity team, and I'm also sure that some of the starting players had all expenses paid. Or should I say about 2.5 to 3 million in scholarships that IMG paid for the athletes to come play football for the Ascenders. Look at it how you want but IMG plays only the best all across America. They've only lost to AHP in the last few years and that was a scrimmage according to most.

I wouldn't hate on Bergen to much if Toal is headed that way.

I would watch Steele,  Lake Travis, and maybe Colerain. Lot of people from South Florida are talking a lot about Miami Northwestern. I would have to see them play. Gonna need to let the season get started before you really know of course, other wise I would go with the usual National suspects.

Not bad.  I'd switch out BC for a team like MNW or Corona Centennial.   MNW is a hunch though, they don't "deserve it" yet if you catch my drift.

Corona centennial is who looked missing to me but they could be 3rd place in their section and have some off field drama that may be a justifiable reservation to top 10

i think DLS could be a top 10 team but need to earn their way back a bit (i.e. Going 2-0 v BG and SJC ought to merit consideration) and that's only other candidate from CA

no on LBP or anyone else for that rarified air

Question for you guys. On what do you base your rankings? Many of these teams do not play one another. how do you compare? I guess I want to know how deep does this go. Is it record> Competition, Scoring, Defense, Coaching, facilities. What are the criteria for each of you to claim a certain team as your #1.

Teams are more interconnected than ever

IMG connects lots of teams, as to a lesser extent do BNU teams, BG, SJB, STA, DLS and this year, St Johns College Prep will play IMG, dematha, SJB and DLS

TX will still be out of loop a bit

PS forgot to mention GCL teams

Yup DLS will definitely get their chance to prove themselves to the doubters this year.   I think it's definitely possible they do go 2-0.  I'd probably guess 1-1, but both BG and SJC lost some good/experienced players.

St. John's beat IMG 35-2 with a running clock in a real game at IMG two seasons ago. I believe IMG rebounded and finished top 25 in the country.
