High School teams cutting players

BS. Once you have entered JR High school the rules have changed for you. The sooner you realize this the better. You either practice and get better or you don't play period. At the high school level participation trophies are out the door. if you are good enough you play if you are not you don't. If the game is determined and there is time left to get a few kids in then so be it, but I will be damned if Im a coach at the high school level and my livelihood is determined by wins and losses if I am going to listen to some nagging parent about playing time.

Sports is one of the last bastions where kids learn that excellence is rewarded and that, if you are not good enough, you pay a price.  I do not mind keeping everyone who tries out, but have no problem with coaches cutting players.  Kids need to learn to deal with rejection before real life hits.

It depends on the structure of the organization. In park basketball in DeKalb county, here in Georgia, every player that came to practice must play at least one (1) quarter per game. Some have no such rules and it is up to the coach and that would be his choice as to how he decides to handle playing time. According to talent, desire, work ethic, etc.

In this instance we are talking about high school football? What are the age groups that demand every kid play in park ball?

Can you just once in your life relate a subject to another? Use that brain God gave you.

You answer is all of them. If you are playing for a DeKalb County park basketball team, it applies. From the 10 and under to the 18 and under. It is the way the Basketball program is structured.

How frigging hard is the question? Should every kid on a high school football team be mandated to play? Can you for once in your life just answer a question and stop trying to show how smart you are?

Your limited vocabulary shows when you get upset. It only mentioned "football", and local team. It does not say what you said anywhere.

OMG really?  You don't see this as the thread title?
