OT: NBA Draft- Winners and Losers?

Like what the Sixers, Laker, Kings, and Magic got. Of course, Jimmy Butler is the best player in the draft (right now) due to the trade, so the T-Wolves did great.

Chicago and the Knicks? Don't know if I liked their plans.

One player I was hoping that would get drafted was Kennedy Meeks from UNC, but he'll have to go the FA route. Think he could be an old-school post player like Bill Laimbeer, Rick Mahorn, Charles Oakley, etc. NBA doesn't have enough of those type guys anymore.

he really worked his butt off from his freshman yr to his Sr. Year I am sure someone will pick him up. Good on the offensive boards and a good passer for a big man. Team like the Suns, Mavs, Warriors would love him.

Don't sleep on the impact of the Warriors pick.  Bell from Oregon is probably the best defensive big guy out there in the draft. But his offensive game needs some serious work. That said, he is the kind of defender that the Warriors would HATE to play against...and the Warriors got him instead of another contender. This kid just made the Warriors' defense better(scary). Developing into a decent offensive threat is gravy...which he'll probably do playing for the Warriors.

I liked Bell in the tournament. Will JaVale McGee be gone? That dude's personality is atypical. Kind of refreshing.

Wow didn't know the dubs picked up Bell. Very solid get. The kid is an animal on the boards and NBA ready defensively.

Yeah. He's an interesting cat. His team mates love him and us fans love him as well. Fans go nuts when he comes into the game at Oracle. Will he be gone?  Good question. I believe that Dubs wanna keep him, but like Liv and anyone else wanting to stay, they're going to have to take less than what they can maybe get out on the market. Clark is likely gone. I think he's proven to be a valuable back up that deserves "valuable backup" money...and he's got two rings now. I think that Liv will stay. I think there's a sense of loyalty with him to the Warriors. I think that the Dubs will take care of him the best that they can. That brings us to JaVale. I think he caught lightening in a bottle with the Warriors this year...playing in that offense. I'm not sure any other team will give him big bucks with still unproven post skills. He could still go, but the Bell pick will make that departure easier.. So to answer your question....Maybe.  I'm going to guess that he comes back for one more year.

Dubs also got Ducks Chris Boucher as a free agent

i suspect he'll find himself in a development league but he's an interesting cat -- 6'10" Canadian (7,4" wingspan) even more of a rim protector, he can shoot the 3, and he's been playing basketball for 3 or 4 years total
