Plus given that it’s a messenger RNA approach, there’s still uncertainty over long term effects. Note both Pfizer and Moderna can’t be held liable for untoward effects. So, there is more risk than for a more traditional time tested vaccine. Maybe it’s worth it that you can avoid Covid, but maybe later on develop who knows what. I would like to know how many of the vaccine researchers have taken it. I know a lot of people are reluctant to take the shot...I don't get it..It's a no brainer to me. I never get the flu vaccine because of how ineffective it is....but this has a 90%-95% success rate. I think you also need to factor in the long term effects of the virus vs. that of the vaccine. I'm seeing reports of prolonged lung problems and fatigue from the virus...not good! The thing is, we won’t know the long term effects of the vaccine for quite a while. Keep in mind, the vaccine is downloading instructions to make a protein that the body will then make antibodies against. No telling what sort of interactions are going to occur. I’m in the last group of people likely to be offered the vaccine so by the time I qualify for it, the picture will be clearer and the J&J version will be out by then as well. I have never had a flu shot, nor do I get the flu, the cold,etc. In 1996 I was accidentally exposed to the viral constituents of broad spectrum bovine vaccine while conducting a a failure investigation study on a vaccine production vessel. That’s the last time I was sick, other than by hangover lol. It did include bovine corona virus so who knows, I might have some immune protection from that.
