Lake Travis is so fuckin' awesome they only need 8 players on offense and they'll still dust any Florida all-star team.

one thing I noticed very quickly with the FL all star team is the defense is overpowered, RB and WR also has some talent and depth as well. If Florida had a HOF QB in its history then I would be hard pressed to see any state match the sunshine state but the qb spot could hurt a bit

(Position placement based on the position played in the NFL, not high school position)

Prerequisite was they had to have played high school in the state of Florida as well as born in Florida (this should be correct as I checked each individual but if I missed on one yet me know so I can fix it) and they had to have played in the NFL to make the list

Now it's everyone else's turn to make the list

The potential nominees from Lakeland would be:

QB: Wayne Peace, currently 9th all-time passing yards for Florida, behind Kyle Trask. Cup of coffee in NFL.

RB: Chris Rainey, record breaking HS career, 10th all-time in rushing for Florida, brief stint with Steelers

OL: David Williams, first round draft pick out of Florida, Oilers (baby gate) and Jets for nine seasons

OL: Maurkice Pouncey, All-American at Florida, 1st round draft pick, probable HOF

OL: Mike Pouncey, All-American at Florida, 1st round draft pick, starter every year in NFL, but many injuries.

DB: Ahmad Black, All-American at Florida, 4th all-time in interceptions, played three seasons for Bucs.

Rainey and the three OLs would be the most serious options on the list. Rainey is a H.S. legend, and, fifteen years after his H.S. career ended, you can bet @Atticus Finch will have some chit to talk about him. 😜

It depends on what the most valued criteria is. If it is performance in the NFL, you'll get a different list than if H.S. performance and records are given equal or greater weight.

Yeah It does

I chose to base it off the NFL because it's easier to compare numbers at the NFL level

Using it based on high school success alone will be a discussion worth it's own thread down the road
