If Florida had a HOF QB in its history then I would be hard pressed to see any state match the sunshine state but the qb spot could hurt a bit
Columbiafan
(Position placement based on the position played in the NFL, not high school position) Prerequisite was they had to have played high school in the state of Florida as well as born in Florida (this should be correct as I checked each individual but if I missed on one yet me know so I can fix it) and they had to have played in the NFL to make the list Now it's everyone else's turn to make the list Offense QB Dante Culpepper Vanguard QB Lamar Jackson Boynton Beach RB Emmitt Smith Escambia RB Fred Taylor Glades Central RB Frank Gore Coral Gables RB Edgerrin James Immokalee WR Michael Irvin St Thomas Aquinas WR Andre Johnson Miami High WR Bob Hayes Gilbert (Jacksonville) WR Harold Carmichael Jackonsville Raines WR Issac Bruce Dillard WR Anquan Boldin Pahokee TE Desmond Clark Kathleen TE Gary Barnidge Middleburg OT Lomas Brown Miami Springs OT Tra Thomas Deland OG Steve Hutchinson Coral Springs OG Josh Sitton Pensacola Catholic OG Nate Newton Orlando Jones C Robbie Tobeck New Port Richey FLEX Derrick Henry Yulee Defense/Special Teams DE Deacon Jones Hungerford DE Jack Youngblood Jefferson County DE Kevin Carter Tallahassee Lincoln DE Joey Bosa St Thomas Aquinas DE Jevon Kearse North Fort Myers DT Warren Sapp Apopka DT Jerome Brown Hernando DT Vince Wilfork Santaluces DT Geno Atkins St Thomas Aquinas OLB Derrick Brooks Pensacola Washington OLB Ted Hendricks Hialeah OLB Derrick Thomas South Miami OLB Rickey Jackson Pahokee OLB Khalil Mack Fort Pierce Westwood MLB Ray Lewis Kathleen MLB Levonte David Miami Northwestern MLB Jonathan Vilma Coral Gables CB Deion Sanders North Fort Myers CB Sam Madison FAMU High CB Ken Riley Union Academy (Bartow) CB Lito Sheppard Jacksonville Raines CB Antonio Cromartie Tallahassee Lincoln CB Asante Samuel Boyd Anderson CB Patrick Peterson Blanche Ely FS Brian Dawkins Jacksonville Raines FS Nick Collins Dixie County SS Sean Taylor Gulliver Prep SS Leroy Butler Jacksonville Lee SS Reggie Nelson Palm Bay KS John Carney Cardinal Newman KS Pat Summerall Lake City Columbia KR/PR Devin Hester Suncoast

badrouter
It depends on what the most valued criteria is. If it is performance in the NFL, you'll get a different list than if H.S. performance and records are given equal or greater weight. 1

badrouter
The potential nominees from Lakeland would be: QB: Wayne Peace, currently 9th all-time passing yards for Florida, behind Kyle Trask. Cup of coffee in NFL. RB: Chris Rainey, record breaking HS career, 10th all-time in rushing for Florida, brief stint with Steelers OL: David Williams, first round draft pick out of Florida, Oilers (baby gate) and Jets for nine seasons OL: Maurkice Pouncey, All-American at Florida, 1st round draft pick, probable HOF OL: Mike Pouncey, All-American at Florida, 1st round draft pick, starter every year in NFL, but many injuries. DB: Ahmad Black, All-American at Florida, 4th all-time in interceptions, played three seasons for Bucs. Rainey and the three OLs would be the most serious options on the list. Rainey is a H.S. legend, and, fifteen years after his H.S. career ended, you can bet @Atticus Finch will have some chit to talk about him. 😜

Yeah It does I chose to base it off the NFL because it's easier to compare numbers at the NFL level
