CODBEARD 5,196
Just now, imaGoodBoyNow said: High school, there’s no new rules letting kids reclassify because of covid It all depends on the school or school board rules but typically no if you have the credits to graduate you can't come back and just hang out for a year lol . If you don't have the credits to graduate then yeah you can come back for a 5th year but you have to take enough courses to be a full time student. Then it is up to the athletic association rules whether you are eligible to play or not.

Take Mater Dei for exams, they’re whole senior class wasn’t allowed to play football and ruined any chances of getting a scholarship, there should be an exemption that you can repeat #BringBackAudricEstime
Severino 547
NJSIAA By-Laws J. Semester of Eligibility: 1. No student shall be eligible for high school athletics after the expiration of eight consecutive semesters following his/her entrance into the 9th grade. A student becomes ineligible for high school athletics when the class in which he/she was originally enrolled has graduated.

It will be interesting to see what associations grant them for covid. I don't see NJSIAA giving the waivers, kid is probably pipe dreaming.

We are talking about kids that would be coming back for a 5th year because of failing required classes for graduation anyway then requesting a waiver hearing to the athletic association to be eligible to play a 5th year claiming that covid caused them to fail or whatever. it will never fly,. They only give those waivers to kids who get really sick or injured to the point they couldn't attend school and of course they could not play either,, These kids played their 4th year so I don't see any way they would get approved unless they got covid themselves and couldn't attend school or play but you are right there is no way in hell they want to open that Pandora's box

CODBEARD 5,196
15 hours ago, imaGoodBoyNow said: Well Dusty Devauns cousin is telling kids in Newark NJ they can do just that That is the exact mark these online reclass high programs go for. Kids that won't graduate with their class so instead of returning to their school a 5th year to graduate and be ineligible to play you can come here and we will fix your grades and you can play a national schedule. The unscrupulous ones promise getting them offers and what not but that rarely happens at least when it comes to actually qualifying and signing somewhere

We’ll let the dog shit coaches like Biff poggi reclassify all his players, we don’t need to. Rollo has all the connections in the world to get those kids a shot and has worked tirelessly this year to set up the seniors in the best situation possible. We went all digital with the recruiting on an app and got tape and vitals out to every college coach in the country. We’ve also been able to practice so colleges are seeing these kids go against each other in practice. MD practices are more competitive than the games. That being said not everyone is D1 material. He would never recommend staying a 5th year in high school, we don’t do that pussy scam sycamore/soft frances/micropenisgsb stuff. What happened to the seniors this year with covid is horrible. Columbiafan 5,051
The reality is that a lot of athletes got screwed because this country was led by morons who didn't take the virus seriously until they either could capitalize on it for personal gain or were just so damn stupid that they let the virus get out of control before trying to fix it This country is ran by a bunch of dumbfucks and a lot of kids who did nothing to deserve this crap treatment took the brunt of it

Severino 547
I noticed that the NJSIAA rules say you're ineligible if you competed under an assumed name. I wonder how that applies if your school's athletic director has operated under an assumed name.

Nothing is guaranteed. There are about 490,000 dead people that took the brunt of it to say nothing of the people that have life altering health issues. Let's not forget about the people that have lost everything financially. No, the kids did not take the brunt of it. Were they affected, sure. But there were a whole lot of people that had it way worse.
