Their number translates to roughly 0.0000303% of African Americans in a year being fatally shot while unarmed by a police officer. And that doesn't even take into account that amongst that number are people assaulting cops, trying to take the cop's weapon etc. The narrative is of cops hunting blacks, "genocide", fear of walking out the door because a cop might shoot them... For reference, the likelihood of someone being hit by lightning in a given year is about 5x higher. More kids drown in 5-gallon buckets in a year. Over this kind of propaganda, the left has promoted, excused and defended rioting that killed 19 people just as of June of last year (forget injuries, $2 billion in damage etc). That is MORE people than the number Wapo found in their study. No riots over black-on-black violence that kills hundreds of times more people, of course. Leftist narrative not served.
