Public defender: How long have you known the defendant? Witness: Since he was in 8th grade Public defender: How would you describe the defendant? Witness: Nice guy, he supports Mater Dei with a passion Public defender: Have you noticed any changes in his behavior? Witness: Yes and No. Public defender: Please clarify Witness: Back in 2011 after Servite beat Mater Dei for the 3rd consecutive time, the defendant seemed to take it really personal, and started lashing out at anything to do with the color black. Public defender: Anything else? Witness: Yes, he gave up his Disneyland pass because he refused to set foot in Anaheim. Public defender: Did this concern you? Witness: Not at the time because I thought he would get over it. Public Defender: Did he get over it eventually? Witness: No he did not Public defender: Why do you say that? Witness: He started wearing white polo’s in Bellflower. Public defender: In your opinion does the defendant suffer from a form of Servite derangement? Witness: Yes, we all do, but he does more than most. Public defender: I have no further questions. Witness: Can I just say one more thing?
