Point is, he's nowhere near the prospect Wingo is. But, do yourself a favor and rewatch that 2018 title game. I've done so 237 times. Martin had a bigger impact on that game than Wingo did.

In 2011, Camden Krohn had a bigger impact in the Cooper City-STA game than Joey Bosa.

Must mean something.

The National Prep Poll/Prepnation was about as respected as any other in those days. They had Lakeland #1 in 2006. Couldn't find the full poll, but others can corroborate that they were used a lot back then. Past NPP champs

Both 2006 Lakeland and 2006 SLC had teams ranked on the top 25 All time

Why yes! It absolutely DID mean something! It had a lot to do with Cooper City pulling off the upset! And the fact that they pulled off that upset tells us a lot about the quality of those teams in that particular season. You seem to be catching on.

But your conclusion should be that there's no evidence that Joey Bosa is better than him.

That's how you've been framing your silly Jaharie Martin narrative.

A possible conclusion-dependent upon more than the one game, the full season- is that the CC kid may have been the better player that night.

The point is, I assume that, if we tracked post high school careers for the STA players and the CC players in that game, STA's players almost certainly had a grotesque advantage in terms of accolades, dollars earned etc. It hasn't turned out to be remotely close. STA probably had dozens of players go on to college careers, and a handful now in the NFL. CC might not have ad any, idk. BUT, we can't use that information to go back and retroactively state that STA was significantly better than CC, even though the resumes of their players after aren't close. The two teams split a season series, STA's 27-10 win is hardly a cremation, and is balanced out by losing the other game. Evaluate STA's entire 2011 season, and they just weren't very good that year. Yet, it wouldn't surprise me at all if that 2011 team produced a more impressive group of college/NFL players than anyone in the country! You are what you are, not what your individual parts end up being years later.

1. Why didn't you start at 2012 for Allen? Didn't they go undefeted that year?

2. Bishop Gorman had no relevant wins in 15? You sure about that?

3. BTW in 2014 went undefeated and escaped with a 6 point win vs Bingham. Bingham probably shoulda won that game tbh...

Allen is changed to 2012-2014

BG - Questionable DBP, Bingham, and Chandler were the marquee wins in 2015.  In the context of this discussion, those are not relevant wins.

BTW - Thanks for the info

DLS 2001-03 37-0 #1: #1: #1 2001

In 2002 Mission Viejo was probably the best team in CA......played better CA teams. Mission Viejo is 2-2 vs DLS since 2004, actually beat DLS in 2004. Imagine that.

1 De La Salle (Concord, CA) North Coast Bay Valley 4A 2 13-0 5-0 (1st) 12-0 6-0 4-0 12-0 12-0 52.1 22.3

2 Mission Viejo (CA) Southern South Coast 2 2 14-0 5-0 (1st) 14-0 9-0 5-0 14-0 14-0 48.9 22.5
WINS: #4 Hart [William S.] (Newhall, CA) (10-6), #19 Mater Dei (Santa Ana, CA) (21-19), #32 San Clemente (CA) (49-14), #43 Claremont (CA) (26-7), #77 Canyon (Canyon Country, CA) (48-14), #96 Tustin (CA) (17-0), #146 Diamond Bar (CA) (28-14), #178 Crenshaw (Los Angeles, CA) (31-6), #223 Fountain Valley (CA) (48-0), #245 Trabuco Hills (Mission Viejo, CA) (21-14), #313 El Toro (Lake Forest, CA) (37-0), #353 Marina (Huntington Beach, CA) (10-7), #704 Capistrano Valley (Mission Viejo, CA) (62-7), #738 Dana Hills (Dana Point, CA) (54-12), LOSSES: none

In 2003 CaliforniaPreps had Westlake #1 and DLS #2....why? Westlake played better CA teams.

1 Westlake (Westlake Village, CA) Southern Marmonte IV 14-0 7-0 (1st) 11-0 81.8 37.3 99-64-1
WINS: #19 St. Bonaventure (Ventura, CA) (28-6), #32 Hart [William S.] (Newhall, CA) (25-24), #76 Notre Dame (Sherman Oaks, CA) (31-7), #142 Agoura (CA) (24-0), #215 Moorpark (CA) (49-14), #215 Moorpark (CA) (38-7), #809 San Marcos (Santa Barbara, CA) (47-14), #1154 Redondo (Redondo Beach, CA) (27-3), #1216 Simi Valley (CA) (58-21), #2344 Royal (Simi Valley, CA) (43-0), #2749 Newbury Park (CA) (41-14), #3207 Thousand Oaks (CA) (49-7), #5138 Santa Paula (CA) (42-0), #9159 Calabasas (CA) (59-0), LOSSES: none

2001-DLS beat CA #2 Poly

THIS = 3 MNCs at USA Today.

DLS those 3 years didn't play ANYONE in California besides Poly and Mater Dei......Mater Dei lost 8 games those 2 years.

DLS is a product of the USA Today!

Hindsight is 2020.  @RedZone

MV was a lower division Ca team in 2001, 2002.  Not on the radar during scheduling season.  West Lake was lower division then as well

Your fake news just makes this process more difficult than it already is.  Be a helper not a jokester

But Redzone is here to school everybody on what a good high school team is. He the preeminent authority on the subject and every analyst, coach (pro, college and HS) are wrong. Thank you for enlightening the country on the mistakes that were made in the past. You the man👍

The teams, schedules, and numbers don't lie, samuel...

EVERYONE can see it no matter how hard you try to sell it.

Do the right thing.

DLS is a nice little Tier 2 team on "your" list which is obviously turning out to be slanted.

The Pre-historic Runs will be open for nominations after the modern 50 year era (1971-2021)

Ok put it in the bank. Undefeated all 3 years.

They beat 13 out of state opponents from Alabama, Georgia, Tennessee, North Carolina, Virginia and Maryland. mostly top teams from their state. Baltimore sent their top champion to play in a postseason bowl and Miami trounced them 26-0. North Carolina sent their champ one year and Miami sent them home with a 45-0 butt drilling.

Miami went 28-0 with 2 national championships. Beat state champs In postseason bowls all 3 years.

14-0 vs Florida teams

6-0 vs Georgia teams

3-0 vs North Carolina

2-0 vs Virginia

1-0 vs Alabama

1-0 vs Tennessee

1-0 vs Maryland
