I don't see John Curtis or Elder on the Life Christian Academy, VA schedule.

Looks like John Curtis has Week 3 open and Elder has Week 9 (Ohio) open if the LCA schedule is correct.....might be hard for Elder to fill that Week 9 game being it's so late.

It's probably a good thing

LCA needs to play more winnable games

Well, St Johns and Milton are ok games. Godby has had some competitive teams before so I don't know about that one. Ravenwood is a lot like Godby.

That's just a bad bad schedule......the last 7 games especially.

Godby should be decent, I haven't heard much about them though but they are normally a solid FL team

Ravenwood in their better years would probably be 25-50 range in Florida but that's just because Tennessee isn't really that deep overall, there's a few solid teams at the top but really the state is ruled by MBA and BA

The publics at the top in Tennessee would likely hover around 15-50 range in the state depending upon the year

Wonder why they didn't schedule IMG? Both recruit nationally and all.

IMG beat Life Christian Academy 52-8 this past year.......they don't want anymore of that.

Totally different levels of All Star teams.

The schedule posted above is not accurate. LCA is still seeking opponents on 10/1 and 10/29.

It came out less than 2 weeks ago........wrong again?

Doesn't matter really. This school is far from "national" and doesn't deserve the hype you give it.

We have 2A and 3A teams in Louisiana with better schedules...

Oh boy, let's break this down:

8/13- GDS Christian Academy (Literally Who?)

8/21- Godby (FL)- legit opponent

8/27- Canada North (CN) (one of the very average Canadian teams; also the Canadian border is still closed and Canada says you'll need vaccine passports to travel)

9/2- Milton (GA)- legit opponent

9/10- Ravenwood (TN)- legit opponent

9/17- Saint John's (DC)- legit opponent but not the SJC of years past

9/24- Silver Oak (MD)- prison school with a max population of about 60 boys

10/1- Avalon (MD)- tiny private Catholic school living off the glory of Trevon Diggs (GAME OFF PER GSB)

10/8- Riverdale Baptist (MD)- tiny private Christian school that couldn't even field a team a couple years back

10/15- Royalty Institute (MD)- this forum's favorite start up, based out of a rec center and offering online learning with a head of school with no degree that has their kids go off and do manual labor several days a week

10/22- Rock Creek Christian (MD)- new program that poached the staff and players from National Christian

10/29- National Christian (MD)- probably not fielding a team any more; lost their players and coaches to RCCA (GAME OFF PER GSB)

11/5- Friendship Collegiate (DC)- ok but nowhere near what they were years ago

Godby is not a legit opponent. They weren’t even in the top 175 teams in Florida alone. That’s a horrible game. They stink. Just because a team had a good squad 5 or 10 years ago doesn’t mean the current team is gonna have a pulse. That’s a wasted blowout. And what’s worse is Godby is traveling 6 plus hours by bus to get whipped in a preseason game. Lol

Plus, that game will be streamed globally for all to see!!!

Good info.... I knew it looked really bad, but that is embarrassing.

I meant legit as in an actual school that will show up and field a team.

The Real LCA lives in Lafayette, La...not in Virginia.

They scheduled D1 Catholic-BR and 5A Acadiana......both won state championships last year. The Real LCA is a D3 team (small, but powerful private)-probably hear from them on the OOS scene soon.

Acadiana will probably be Preseason #1 here and Catholic-BR might be Preseason #2.

The Real LCA has a nice school and facilities.

Oh boy, is Gds Christian Academy giving me some USA Academy vibes. Down the rabbit hole we go:

First off, here is their Twitter:

GDSTwitter.png.2e7a461eb0fe962449e08587f40d2700.png

Lots of red flags, besides the obvious copyright issues of just straight up committing identity theft on Penn State. Only 7 tweets/retweets, none since March 3rd and none mentioning the program since December 23rd, 2020. They have no website and no other social media presence. They do have a Hudl account that strangely now appears under the name of Miami International Academy, again with branding ripped straight off a college team, albeit this time more aptly the Miami Hurricanes.

Their head coach is apparently Xavier Carter, former OC at American HS, though I see more tweets about fringe conspiracy theories on his timeline than those about GDS Christian Academy football.

GDSCorp.png.ce7f956973bd85f6ed0f113687e4d321.png

GDS Christian Academy was registered as a corporation in February, 2020. The agent address is a home in a private neighborhood in Miramar. No Google Street View available unfortunately. On another business lookup website, we see a primary address for Gds Christian Academy of 8101 NW 17th Ave, Miami, FL. This appears to be the address of Christian Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church, which looks like a very nice Church building, but not really suited to hosting a school. I wonder if the good Reverend Parrott knows that his Church is being used as the primary address for a sketchy "school." Here is the building in question:

GDSCampus.png.ea62d89cc80417a49dbb929d96754e7a.png

I wasn't able to find anything on Charles Brown (too common of a name), but here appears to be Randy Tunsil's Instagram. He seems to be a fan of Dogecoin so let's hope it continues to appreciate in value so he can fund the school. Another site also lists Michael Tunsil as a co-owner. I don't know if this is a brother or cousin or what, but now we appear to be getting somewhere. Michael Tunsil, whose Twitter is accurate as it turns out, is the former HC at Champagnat Catholic. He led them to a state championship in 2013 before stepping down following the 2014 season. His final regular season game saw him take his team off the field and quit the game after getting into a fight with IMG when they were trailing by 40 in the second quarter.

This is actually super relevant because of this: GDS Christian Academy claims to be joining the "best athletic conference in Florida;" the Sunshine State Independent Association (not to be confused with the actual legitimate SSAC: Sunshine State Athletic Conference). Now the SSIA Twitter isn't much to look at, with only 41 tweets and a link that they've put out multiple times to a league website that doesn't exist. It appears they did sponsor a six-team playoff culminating in a championship game at Lakeland HS in 2020 where Tru Prep defeated American Collegiate Academy 22-12. They also host GSB's favorite program the Scientologists of Clearwater Academy International. Also members: IMG Academy's Varsity Team (seriously), former 8-man football program Citi Christian and Akelynn's Angels Christian Academy. To end this, here' a picture from SSIA Twitter listing the purported 2021 members of the league. Why are there at least two ACA's? Why are 90% of the logos either generic clip art or stolen from somewhere? Do more than half these teams exist anywhere other than the internet? This all screams "professional" and "best league in Florida."
