Nobody here has ever bragged, unironically, except you clowns.

The economy has added 1 million jobs in the last two months.

Dr. Quack thinks this is a sign that businesses are struggling to hire people.

I deal in facts, not anecdotes from dumbass quacks who can't even get things right in their "specialty."

Ask any business owner and they'll give you one biased perspective.

Here's anecdotal evidence.

I go to a lot of restaurants and bars in a big hospitality town and I've never been delayed, refused a seat, waited on a meal because they didn't have enough help.

And let's be clear. This is only a hospitality/service industry issue. A field that has historically paid shit wages. Businesses have had to start giving signing bonuses to entice people.

Bormio thinks adding 1.4 million jobs in 3 months and wait staff getting signing bonuses is a disaster.

🤡

They are competing with government checks.  But you are all cool with that.

Good.

It's temporary.

People who are working are getting paid more and those who aren't are getting higher unemployment checks until September.

Somehow you are whining about this outcome.

What a bozo.

The real world is certainly not very rural South Carolina, but you know that.

Be honest with yourself......the real world is passing you by and has for decades. This forum is about as good as it gets for you.

Of course they have to work for 3 months or more or pay back the bonus.

Managers have to kiss employee's asses to keep them...

Some restaurants are closing on Mondays in Brevard because they are under staffed.

Some states are going to stop paying unemployment because people are refusing to work.

Wonder how long this is going to work out before America is bankrupt. How long until we pay higher taxes to fight back the deficit.

Mr. Charlie once told me that there were two ways to survive.....work hard or work smart.

He went on to say that either way was fine....but to pick one.

I thought long and hard about it and I came up with a 3rd option.  I married WELL.

So don't go trying to talk to me about W-O-R-K.

Capitalist !!!!

So on the one hand he's whining that nobody is taking jobs but on the other you're whining that they have to actually work for three months.

Gasp!

The perfectly incoherent argument that I was expecting from you.

Not a lot of snark this weekend from Dr. Quack.

I kept waiting for him to post this but it never came.

🤷‍♂️

U.S. economy added 559K jobs in May and unemployment fell to 5.8%

  • 559,000 jobs added to the economy in May, according to latest US jobs report.
  • The unemployment rate fell from 6.1% to 5.8%.
  • Oxford Economics expects the economy to add a record 8 million jobs in 2021 as unemployment falls to 4.3% by the end of the year.

That was a lukewarm jobs report and virtually everyone on Wall Street said so. There are at least 8 million job openings in the US and 11 million getting unemployment checks.

The bonus wasn't really a bonus now was it? That was my point. Go back a few more weeks to pick up some of my posts so you have something to do.... You are such a dork.

For the life of me, I can't figure out why Dr. Quack didn't rush to his computer to post the most recent jobs report.

The U.S. economy added 943,000 jobs in July.

The jobs gain for June, initially reported at 850,000, was revised to 938,000.

The unemployment rate fell to 5.4 percent, compared with 5.9 percent in June. Before the report, the consensus of economists polled by Bloomberg forecast a gain of 858,000 jobs, with the unemployment rate dipping to 5.7 percent.
