All good. Coach Messay is now running the show at SFA. They have a kick-ass 2021 schedule which should include the likes of STA, GC, SJR, DLS, BS, STM and IMG. Don't be surprised if Biff enters the college coaching ranks again sooner than later.

I am not a fan of Biff Poggi whom I have never met.  But I have deep, deep respect for his accomplishments at Gilman snd SFA.

As Gilman started over so is SFA.

If this is the end of Saint Biff on the football field, here's where he stands:

Gilman (2009-2015; no real relevant OOS games prior to 2009 and they weren't really recruiting prior to 2009)

- 4 Top 51 Rankings (2010-2012; 2015)

Non-Conference:

- 19 wins, 11 losses

- Record versus lower ranked teams: 18-0

- Record versus higher ranked teams:  1-11

- Record versus Top 100 teams: 2-11

- Record versus teams outside the Top 100: 17-0

Conference:

- 34 wins, 4 losses

- Record versus lower ranked teams: 34-3

- Record versus higher ranked teams: 0-1

- Record versus Top 100 teams: N/A

- Record versus teams outside the Top 100: 34-4

Saint Frances (2016-2020)

- 4 Top 5 Rankings (2017-20), 1 Top 80 Ranking (2016)

- 44 wins, 5 losses

- Record versus lower ranked teams: 44-2

- Record versus higher ranked teams: 0-3

- Record versus Top 100 teams: 4-4

- Record versus teams outside the top 100: 40-1

91-5 versus teams outside the top 100 but 6-15 versus top 100 teams despite his teams being ranked in the top 80 every year but 2009, 2013 and 2014.

96-3 against teams ranked lower than his teams and 1-15 against teams ranked higher than his teams.

He's an awful on-field coach with a terrible offense who masked it by being a great recruiter and literally fielding the best team that money could buy. His record in games where the opponent had anywhere near the same level of talent as he did is evidence for that. He spent millions but never got his precious MNC largely due to his ego being to big to just serve as a figurehead and leave the coaching to guys who were actually competent.

He snapped DBPs 46-game winning streak, which trumps everything negative above.
