LSU smashed a lot of teams like that. Funny how never you never make similar claims about, say, Georgia who they beat by 4 touchdowns. Or Texas A&M who they beat by 43 points and then finished 2nd in the West the following year. No, its always used against non-SEC teams to prop up your fragile psyche. Texas A&M, a second-tier Big 12 team, came right into the SEC and tied for 2nd in the West in their first year. In 9 seasons, they've finished 2nd (or tied) three times. They're 42-31 overall. When they're members they'll get to play everybody. So take those .500 records against the best teams and then add the .900 record they'll have against the scrubs. No matter how you try to rationalize it, they're going to win a ton be the best teams in the new West Division. You will admit this because you're fragile. I hate to agree with Finch but Texas played LSU better in 2019 then anyone in the SEC outside maybe Alabama maybe. Texas may not come in and compete right away but they not going to get ran off the field by no team in the SEC. Now they may play Alabama close and turnaround and choke an Ole Miss game but that's Texas football for you. They have the talent just not the coaching and player development. Will OU now being in the SEC attract better players on the defensive side of the ball ? OU is a defense away from being Alabama. How will Alabama offense look now that Sark is gone. He took them to a new level offensively. Nah, Oklahoma will still get most of their defensive players from Texas......and, that just isn't working out for Boomer Sooner for whatever reasons.
