The insinuation made by the dumbasses here is that weaker gun laws would somehow lead to less gun violence in Chicago. This is obviously stupid and is quickly refuted by the state with some of the weakest gun laws in the country: Louisiana. Why Does Louisiana Consistently Lead the Nation in Murders? For 31 straight years, Louisiana has reported the nation’s highest murder rate. New Orleans has had the nation’s highest murder rate for any big city a dozen times since 1993, with 424 murders in 1994 at the height of the city’s bloodletting.
