Old Rabid One Posted July 28, 2021 Report Share Posted July 28, 2021 With many GHSA stadiums being equipped with lightning detectors, and the threat of rain and thunder storms in the forecast nearly EVERYDAY for the past two weeks, with no let up in sight! What do you suppose will be the chances for weather to throw the entire early season into chaos? It may not be a biggie early on in non region games! But what if region games are postponed? The whole season could be turned upside down! I remember one season when the Colquitt-Thomas Co. Central game was postponed at halftime, when the lightning detector went off with Colquitt leading 14-0! WELL, as you hog fans know, that lil device tends to trigger in the HOG PEN, if the weather coughs fifty miles away! WELL sir, the game was postponed until Saturday, with the game being RESTARTED from jump street! And as a result, Central prevailed 21-14, given a reprieve from the night before! And this COULD happen when it matters most! A lil thing like that extremely sensitive apparatus, could affect the national rankings in 2021!
