Make it so that such opportunities must come against real high schools that operate according to the same agreed to rules that the school in question operates by. All some shyster has to do is claim that the "school" is trying to help poor, underserved kids and somehow they get away with it. Bishop Sycamore is not only a scam run by criminals but it's an incompetent one. Even if they had good intentions, they're not capable of delivering. Their coaches are buffoons and street agents who can't coach a lick of football. Their appearance on ESPN was a disgrace and an embarrassment. Even if they were trying to get genuine high school kids some exposure for scholarships purposes, they're not equipped to do it. Both of those teams are very hard to book for the obvious reasons. In each case BS was the ONLY team out of hundreds that took advantage of the exciting oppty that was presented. There is always a licensing fee. The bare minimum was $1k. We got anywhere from $5k to $15k, depending on the the game. We also got travel paid for travel costs if it was an out-of-state game. For the travel, we negotiated the reimbursement. We also got a % of the gate and concessions. Again, it was negotiated and put into the contract. We did not ever travel to play someone, tv or not, that wasn’t going to financially help our program. And that is where the money went. Into our program. It sounds like BS is pocketing every dime they bring in. A financial audit is in order. The word is embezzlement.
