Aww I missed it, what was it lol?

Close men’s finish with the stones.

I was more impressed with the women, simply because I never saw women compete in a competition like that before.  They were moving some serious weight.

@181pl is likely your best option for powerlifting info on this forum.  We discussed lifting many years back.

I’m old and very broken, but thanks😀. My son has far surpassed any meager accomplishments I had in the sport. One of the best in the country. Drug free. Nothing but guts and focus.

Haven't reached that point yet lol. Hopefully I don't, I won't look so good in all those luxury clothes

That's what you have not learned about "designer suits yet"  LOL.

They were not made for you.  😲   Business suits especially.

They are designed to hide all the flaws of "powerful old men", and make them look great.

They are Also designed, to make younger athletic types, look like dogshit.  LOLOL

PS: You may SCOFF...but think about it.  🤓

How does a touch-and-go raw bench press of 405 at 195 pounds bodyweight stack up?

Raw lift, 100% clean

Really good assuming natural.  For football or any functional strentth gauge I would say measure the clean, squat, deadlift, & clean and press and your ability to do muscle ups and other calistenic/plyometric movements all before the bench. I know the bench is a staple in testing but in my experience the carryover to any type of combat sport is minimal

Yes all-natural. I eat lots of ultra high-quality foods (minus hot wings, chips, and frozen tacos lol). BIson, halibut, sockeye salmon, 100% natural ($10/piece) almond butter, organic bread, organic chicken, raw almonds, steaks, kale, apples, organic blueberries and raspberries, olive oil, red lentil pasta and so much more.

I specialize in bench press and grip... football players should train grip too. They may be able to clean so much or whatever but can't do crap on a pinch block, grippers, etc

Now if you go into the college and pro ranks, you may run into freaks who can do a lot on these implements with no prior training because genetics.

yea grip is huge - I left that out.  Pullups with towels are great for that, farmers walks etc.  Plus of you deadlift large amounts of weight with no straps you'll have a good grip
