You're not the only one... I've heard that alot... AT&T is honestly in a slump... Verizon and T-Mobile are moving fast and furious upgrading... AT&T is gonna need to do something soon. Same here. Tmobile since 2003 same number and all. ATT always asks about switching and when I tell them what I pay they say “we can beat it” but only for six months. Verizon has their own AT&T has their own Straight talk is slowly being assimilated into Verizon... They where already piggybacking off VZ towers and that was a MISTAKE ... The way Straight Talk Used to work is that certain phone models worked only on certain company Towers... Example the Galaxy S5 might have only worked on AT&T while the Iphone 5 only worked on Verizon... This made the consumers forced to pick which one they wanted... You might want that Galaxy but hate AT&T service because it's bad where you are... Not only that. I'll be real with you Prepaid phones are outdated.... Yet again I use Apple for this but Samsung is just as guilty in this department... There's a reason you never hear about the names of some of these Prepaid phone models and why it takes do long for Prepaid phones to catch up to mainline contract. Prepaid phones are just now catching up to the Iphone 8 and there's a few 11s and 12s slowly phasing into Prepaid systems... This is because Prepaid service is treated as 2nd class... it's not a priority... If you have the money you can get a newer mainline phone buy it outright and take it to a Prepaid company example: If @HawgGoneIt and @SeaShells21 decided they want the Galaxy Flip Z3 but they don't want a contract... (Current phone price: 1,000 on the dot) You can just buy the phone outright from online because no retailers gonna let you do it unless it's a special occasion or event... or an old phone. Now let's say they've bought the phone Now you have to find a retailer that has a sim kit for the Prepaid company you want and if you're not do it yourself person you now have to find someone who can program your phone, put in the Sim card and Contact the specific company line you need because you can't just call the general customer service.... Oh I almost forgot you have to pick a specific plan for this as well 45-255 dollars for Straight talk... but wait they have a 35 plan and a 30 plan... guess what... you can't use it for smart phones... and you can only use the 35 for certain models of smartphones...
