I don't know what grounds Camden would petition to move down using, other than isolation. They've been in 7A for the last several years and isolation apparently wasn't that big of an issue.

I think they'll be hard pressed to get a favorable ruling, especially considering Tift is dropping from region 1 7A.

I actually hope they put Richmond Hills in region 1 7A so we get a 5 team region.

RH should've been in 7A from the get go...

Them and Rome used the isolation rule...

What you mean?

I mean, they knew they were playing with a lot of out of district kids. They hoped electing to play up would appease the schools they play. The 3x multiplier shows where they should have been playing accounting for the number of out of district kids theyve been having.

These private schools want to enjoy the benefits of playing in the GHSA but don't want to have to abide by a district line like the schools they play against.

There's a couple of other schools that pull crap like (Lee) for damn sure with that gloating about no kids living out of district.

When being a private school backfires on you, eh? Lol.

Colquitt should petition to play down to 6A.

With the renewed non interest by players and administration culling our numbers dressing out is more in line with 5 or 6A. On a positive note our uniform expense is down.

I bought a copy of our roster when we played Tift and it showed 90 something kids, however, the Sunday prior, we only counted 75 or so practicing.

Not sure what is going on with that. Quite a few of us have noticed a fairly quick decline in numbers actively participating. It was most evident at Lowndes because they actually had 100 or so.

Now, I do understand only 11 can play at a time, but, interest in participating is important and shows the overall pulse of the program.

Apparently it's affecting quite a few public schools as well.

I mean, everyone (except Lee apparently) has some out of district kids, so, that isn't a huge deal, unless you have 22 and they are all 3 and 4 star ballers.

The fact that some schools take advantage is the reason for the change, and, it has collected some that aren't necessarily trying to get an unfair advantage in sports.

Personally, I'd prefer all the privates go back to the GISA. They don't play using the same rule book and the multiplier will force them to definitely go after the area studs so there is value with the multiplier if they are sports interested schools.

These public multiple rules where originally meant for Buford and Cartersville...

It's obvious which one is being effected more....
