The GHSA is on that BS Again....

@HawgGoneIt Marist is a smaller co-ed school than Woodward

Woodward is a larger Co-ed private school...

They get to avoid playing in 7A...

Lol...

certain schools have some pull...

this whole thing is Mad Cap...

I know TCC mad as hell.

Those denied: Carrollton, Camden County & Richmond Hill, Kenn. Mt. (all must stay 7A); Fellowship, Marist, GAC, Lovett, Blessed Trinity, Jefferson, Thomas Central, Thomasville, Bremen, Vidalia, Social Circle. Pace, Trinity Christian, HIES to 4A.

I'm more surprised Richmond Hills lost theirs....

Welcome to Region 1...

I wish Tift County would petition up to 7A...

But I'd be lying if I said I was surprised they didnt...

Giant list of GA HS football begging to live on their knees instead of dying on their feet

No these are schools appealing being brought up by the new GHSA times 3 multiplier for out of district students...

My first question is how the hell do you even zone private schools...

Marist serves both Dekalb and Fulton County and its beyond me how you expect a prestigious school that serves 2 of the 10 most populated counties in the state to not have a bunch of Out of Zone students...

Even then Marist has a 2A population...

Just saying...

And I dont wanna hear about No balls from California

Home of the Dodge Top class champions...

FOLSOM

You still can't tell me how a team with No conference wins gets in your states playoffs....

I'm not saying the GHSA is perfect because believe me... theyre not....

But yall are throwing alot of stones while living in a glass home...

Who is in 4A that all these teams fear that they want to drop to 3A/2A?

Right now Benedictine,Marist and Jefferson.

All of Who are getting bumped up...

If the GHSA let's Jefferson stay in 4A they'll dominate...

And like I said sometimes it's obvious which schools have some pull...

Woodward is a larger school than Marist...

Gets to play in 6A instead of 7A when the multiplier is applied...

GHSA has some BS going on...

Like I said that state association split is gonna come real soon

4A as it stands now is probably one of the most weak classes:

Benedictine

Marist

Perry

Bainbridge

Jefferson

Are all Good teams in their class... But

Honestly I'd be more afraid to drop to 3A.

3A is a Battlefield of over the top small teams:

Appling County HS

Pierce HS

Sandy Creek HS

Cedar Grove HS

Crisp County HS

Peach County HS

Oconee County HS

Westside HS

No matter what you do in 3A you're gonna have to run through one of these teams...

I can sort of understand why Thomasville would wanna stay in 2A...

Their nearest 3A region opponent is almost 2 hours away...

I actually agree with you. Some of these are teams that have been playing loose with the district boundary rules for competitive advantage, hence they caused the mess that they're appealing to get out of.

It's honestly funny shit.

However, there are some teams just caught up in the net with them. Thomas County Central hasn't been good at football in a good while, so, if their numbers of out of district kids was meant for a competitive advantage, they aren't very good at it.

Even some of the private schools. I guess we usually look at it from a football stand point, but, there are other sports involved as well. Some of these schools are dominant in their classes in other sports and the GHSA committee has to look at it through a larger lens.

Outside of Football and Baseball

Blessed Trinity doesn't win anything...

Woodward Academy is a baseball and wrestling school...

Marist is probably the only All around private because they win in everything just about.

Benedictine is a Football and baseball school

St.Pius X is BECOMING a Basketball school

Lovett....I guess wrestling

ELCA is a Football and baseball school.

I'd be more for putting them where they belong based on where they've been most problematic

More than anything, this is about winning by the privates. The GHSA is trying, with limited success, to even the playing field.

Every now and then, it is necessary to do something that sparks interest.

This does.

I like it.

Some schools will cry but they will manage.

Still a couple of schools they will have to look at that have 10 or more D1 players on the roster every year. We have schools that are behaving like academy's without the name at the end.

I seriously wish Tift would petition up...

I honestly feel ashamed they're not....

But im not surprised they're not...

I also wouldn't be surprised if the BOE had some pull in this move too and wasn't hiding some numbers...

Just damn...

Win where they put you.

Cures all ill's.
