Did OSU make a National Championship statement Saturday?

Sure got a lot of attention with that romp over MSU.

So, Georgia and Alabama for the SEC Championship .......Again. Alabama has got what is Georgia's worst nightmare, an excellent vertical passing game. Georgia probably has there best defense ever but they're kind of average in covering speedy receivers IMO. Bama has some burners and burn UGA in the SEC Championship.

Bama has to beat Auburn and Georgia to make the championship series. Georgia needs only to beat Tech and be in a position to win in the 4th qtr vs Bama. Dawgs strength of schedule has taken a dip in recent weeks but is as good as anyone else's in the country.

Championship 4? Alabama, Georgia, Ohio State, Cincinnati. (It's Cincinnati but no one is killing it this year on SOS. They win them all they're in.)

1. Bama beats 4 Cincinnati

2. Georgia beats 3 Ohio state

2 Georgia beats 1 Bama in their 2nd meeting this year and Georgia celebrates it's 2nd championship in the span of 2 months.

As an aside; Georgia had some names in the game yesterday we haven't heard in a while. By the time the championship game comes around Georgia could have the offense on the field we thought we'd have last spring.

Alabama's problem this year is that they don't dominate in the trenches as they usually do.

Georgia has a top 10 o-line and we all know about their defense.

Ohio State has arguably the top-ranked o-line in the country and their d-line gives up amongst the lowest rushing yards per game and per carry in the nation, and amongst the top sacks and TFLs  per game.

I think so. Osu is without a doubt one of the best 4 teams in the country this year. I think the playoffs are going to be kind of wacky this year. Oregon blew it, Alabama should lose to Georgia in a couple weeks. I don’t know who the 4 will be but I think it’s safe to say the best team in the country is Georgia with a decent gap between the others.

GA does not have a QB1.  From the SEC championship and onward, they will face teams that they will need more than a game manager to win.

That A&M and Wisconsin is even mentioned there blows that up. And Michigan getting beat by MSU should kick their ass out as well.

Maybe not in any other year but in this year Cincy belongs.

OSU has a legitimate chance this year.   I didn’t think they did the last two years because of the particular opponents in LSU (who I think might be one of the greatest of all time) and Bama who was also just an incredible all around team.    Both had offenses that would be near impossible to stay with along with very underrated defenses.

This year however, as great as UGA’s D is, I don’t think they are unbeatable.    Don’t get me wrong I have them as the favorite but they could have a bad day of turnovers and might not have the firepower to catch up.    Bama is not as strong on the LOS as usual and dont have the firepower they’ve had at the skill spots they usually have.  That being said I think Bama is holding back personally.

I will say this, I don’t think guys will be running free for OSU as they have been in Big10 play.   SEC teams have become accustomed to playing against high powered offenses and QBs.   Should be a really fun playoff.   I hope Cincy makes it this year as well.

Never ever count out a Saban lead Bama team.

I think they do also.

A clash between Georgia's defense (the immovable object) and the Ohio State offense (the unstoppable force) would be great to watch.

I agree that the Bucks' offense would not have nearly as easy a time vs a Georgia or Bama. It's just a quality of athlete thing. They are all amongst the top 3 or 4 recruiters of the past several years.  That said, the opposite is true also.  Georgia's defense has not faced an offense even remotely as talented as Ohio State's.  Literally every skill player on Ohio State's offense should go in the first round of the draft. Stroud, Henderson, Olave, Wilson, Smith-Njigba.  The next two receivers on the depth chart are a 5* #3 in the nation recruit and a 5* #10 in the nation recruit.

Agree on Cincy.

Yeah it speaks volumes that Bama’s most explosive WR is an OSU transfer. They definitely have explosive guys on the outside.

You go 6-deep (with Williams), Ohio State could have fielded the TWO best starting receiving corps in the nation.

Think about that.
