Totally agree with you. With the way their program is going, its probably time for them to step out of state to establish themselves further to justify their rankings.

As an aside... ESL got handled by Cary Grove in the IL 6A finals.

Since my brother in law does all the radio broadcasts I will work on it

they can only stray 300 miles I believe so welcome Ohio

several teams would give them a run

ESL lost by 1 point.

With their 300 mile restrictions,  maybe they invite teams to play at home.

I think IL periodically waves that restriction as a few of their schools have traveled around the country to play... notably Simeon, ESL, Rita, Hinsdale Central etc.

It would be nice to see ESL host OOS games but what I found interesting was the attendance for their game out here with SJB was really strong. We sat on the ESL side and the stands were at least 3/4's full... but when I watched some of the playoff games they hosted via stream, the attendance ( at least what the camera showed ) was dismal.

I doubt you will see Center Grove step out of state (not because of unwillingness). They play in arguably the toughest Conference in Indiana the MIC (Metropolitan Interscholastic Conference) with Ben Davis, Warren Central, and Carmel. In a 9 week regular season they play the other 7 teams in their 8 team conference leaving only 2 games to schedule non-conference opponents in Week 2 and Week 9. They have played Indianapolis Cathedral (another Indiana powerhouse) in week 9 for the last 8 years. Their Week 2 opponent has changed every couple of years. The only out of state opponent they have played that I am aware of is Cincinatti LaSalle a few years back.
