5th Place Trinity League team CIFSS D-2 Champs

Hardly seems right that OLU gets into a D1 bowl while Norco and Los Al (by no means perennial powerhouses) had good seasons, so we’re thrown into the reprehensibly embarrassing first round routfest.  CIF really needs to just treat the top four like the current CFB, at least until other teams catch up, or those teams slide back closer to the pack.

Agreed but the one good thing about  this is that Folsom won't get any victory parades as long as the CIFSS keeps going with the Cal preps format

What do you think it means?  Pretty sure I know what it means

That the CIF put the 8 best teams in one bracket and all the riff raff in the other brackets.

The fact that Orange Lutheran gets to beat up slapdicks and call themselves "champions" while Santa Margarita, who beat them and finished ahead of them in the Trinity League, has to go D1 and get pummeled is ridiculous.

If Alemeny who lost to Lone Peak (in Utah) by only 7 points is Riff Raff, then so are alot of State Champions.

Lone Peak beat Corner Canyon TWICE much worse.

If Alemeny (who played SJB closer than Miami Central did) is Riff Raff, then so is most of Florida.

OLU also beat Serra (who is in the D4 SBG playoff).

@Cal 14and many others will tell you that the bottom half of the Trinity League is trash.  OLU winning D2 puts that to rest.  And no, Menlo-Atherton would not be competitive with anyone in the TL.

CIFSS D-1 playoff bracket +SBG is much stronger and more representative of a true champion than any playoff grouping in Florida or Texas

Get with the program Sammy. That's nothing compared to the murderer's row that is the FL 7A bracket with juggernauts such as *checks notes* Atlantic, Miramar, Homestead, Buchholz and semi-finalist Lake Gibson that gave up 58 points to Lowndes.😂

When your team is going to be involuntarily idle for the rest of the season then you have to make up stuff like this to stay relevant.
