You see the massive wave coming from as far as the eye can see, you can safely bet that, once the damage is fully accounted for, it will be significantly larger than the mere anecdotes you observe directly. This is asinine. Even sticking to the 95% efficacy rate which nobody assumes translates into real-world effectiveness would mean 10+ million people potentially getting infected after receiving the vaccine. Your stupid attempt at an analogy holds no weight. Knowing 30 people who tested positive is of no consequence at all.

We're already seeing that. The important point remains: there's no corresponding increase in deaths and the hospitalization numbers mirror the data from the beginning of the vaccine drive: they are overwhelmingly unvaccinated people. 181pl
I wonder if @Atticus Finch understands how foolish he looks defending a 94.5 efficacy rate for a vaccine when the etire news cycle , right or wrong, is dedicated to covid infection rates at a time when our country is (65%?) vaccinated. 244M people have been at least partially vaccinated. 508M vaccine doses given so far. It does not stop infection as the Faucians claimed for a long time. It probably does reduce severe symptoms in some.

You don't understand the difference between efficacy and effectiveness which given your track record is not a suprirse. Nobody has claimed 95% effectivness. This is a desperate lie that you have to tell to lessen your embarrassment. In fact, I've been very clear in my wording. 👇 1 hour ago, Atticus Finch said: Because you seriously misunderstand science, math and logic. Since the claim of 100% effectiveness was never made by anyone, your statements are not relevant at all to the actual issue. Even if the effectiveness of the vaccines were exactly the same as the efficacy in the trials (which also has never been claimed) then 5% of people could still get COVID, be hospitalized or die. 5% of 200 million is 10 million. So saying that you know 30 people who got COVID after being vaccinated is literally meaningless.

Yes, acknowledged and agree. Society-wide, we are seeing mass hysteria, entirely around CASES. Maybe not on prepgridiron.com, but the hysteria is all over the news and social media. And the calls for massive disruption to daily life are quite loud. There's a huge push to lock children out of schools again; healthy people are being forced to lock themselves in a room for several days due simply to contact tracing, or SARS-CoV-2 particles detected in their nose, whereby it has *NOT* at all been proven they are infectious; major, traditional events are being cancelled etc. So, it seems that perhaps we all can find some common ground here: we should all speak out against the hysteria and draconian responses all based on simple case numbers. badrouter
This shouldn’t be a big deal given the lack of accompanying hospitalizations. But, it is being treated as a big deal. The states on here all have high vaccination rates. And note that it is December where the huge increase is seen. Charts only through November are misleading. DBP66
This is what happens when you believe the lies and play Russian roulette with your life....SAD! California Deputy DA Who Fought Vaccine Mandate Dies Abruptly After Falling Ill With COVID at Age 46 Allison Quinn Tue, January 4, 2022, 8:17 AM via Facebook A deputy district attorney and up-and-coming Republican political star in California’s Orange County has died abruptly after telling friends she contracted COVID-19. Kelly Ernby, a presumed candidate for the state Assembly in 2022, was only 46 years old. According to the Los Angeles Times, she fell ill shortly after speaking out against vaccine mandates at a rally organized by Turning Point USA on Dec. 4. “There’s nothing that matters more than our freedoms right now,” she was quoted telling the crowd during the rally at Irvine City Hall. It was not immediately clear where or how she contracted the virus. Her death has sparked an outpouring of tributes from colleagues who praised her for her passion and experience. Orange County District Attorney Todd Spitzer devoted a lengthy Twitter thread to Ernby on Monday, calling her “an incredibly vibrant and passionate attorney who cared deeply about the work that we do as prosecutors—and deeply about the community we all fight so hard to protect.” “It was an absolute privilege to fight the good fight alongside Kelly,” Spitzer wrote. “Her passion and her shining light will be forever missed.” “My heart is broken and I'm in tears. I lost a dear friend to Covid complications. I love you @KellyErnby ! You’ve been nothing but an inspiration to many of us here in Orange County,” Ben Chapman, chairman of the Greater Costa Mesa Republicans, wrote on Twitter, alongside a photo of himself and Ernby. The Orange County Republicans, for whom Ernby had served as the precinct operations chair, said news of her death had caused “great sadness.” The group noted only that Ernby had died unexpectedly after a “brief illness,” saying “we have hope in this tragedy because we know she had a deep faith.” In a sad sign of the times, Ernby’s death also led to a public feud between anti-vaxxers and pro-vaxxers in the comments section of her Facebook page, with pro-vaxxers posting memes appearing to mock her death and anti-vaxxers falsely claiming she had died as a result of the COVID-19 jab. Ernby’s husband, Mattias Ernby, appeared to confirm his wife had not been vaccinated in response to a Facebook user who claimed she had died of blood clots after getting vaccinated. “She was NOT vaccinated. That was the problem,” Mattias Ernby wrote. The daughter of two Navy veterans, Ernby had nearly two decades of legal experience and had run for state Assembly in 2020, with her campaign focusing on border security, and “conservative values in California,” among other things. “Kelly and I spent a lot of time together on the campaign trail in 2020. She was one of the few people in politics that always came across as real, authentic, caring and passionate,” Brian Burley, a Republican who ran for Congress last cycle, tweeted of her political talent.
