Cossacks Posted August 8, 2017 Report Share Posted August 8, 2017 Yeah dude was a human pinanda when it came to getting drilled. Always liked him as a player and manager. Tough guy and had some pop. Was supposed to be a great running back in high school and went the baseball route over playing for the Longhorns. And Dutch Daulton passes as well. Dude had some inner demons, but was a stand up guy who always took full responsibility for his faults. Looking back those 90's Phillies teams were the epitome of a blue collar softball league assortment of dudes. Didn't appreciate them back then, but they were a fun team. Just by stopping his swing the friggin' bat broke in half. Try doing that. He was the Rockies' first manager, and a good one to start the franchise.
