Rufus69
Colquitt was not in Daytona. Thus the poor attendance. Rufus>>
HawgGoneIt
Seemed like attendance was up from the last couple of years, but, I really don't know. NASCAR does make some mistakes. Imo their big mistake is pricing of tickets. I'd lower the price for the seats about in half and see if attendance improves. Atlanta last year for instance, I had season seats that of course I purchased well before the season started. I should have been granted the most reasonable price for my seats but they costed 119 per for Sunday and 60 dollars for Saturday. People walked up on Sunday and got comparable seats for 65. Stands were empty anyway, but, wtf ya know? I didn't renew this year and they shoot me a survey as to why. I don't think they'll like what I said. Why buy season seats when I can walk up and get them for less? I just miss out on the VIP parking is pretty much all unless I drop another 75, which still makes it cheaper than my season seat price. Hotel around 200 per night. Tickets around 200 apiece for the weekend. If the tickets were 35, then folks could more afford the hotels and then they'd have more butts in the seats. When the average fan goes on the websites to buy the tickets and sees the price they change their mind because they can watch it on t.v. for free. Dropping the price the day of, you're only picking up a few local people.
