Sources tell me that Valdosta may opt out of the Winnersville and Colquitt could go "mercy rule" for the entire game.

Add to that...Camden is as nervous as a bluecat.

The only team NOT scairt is Richmond Hill.  And those same sources let it slip that the wildcats over near Savannah just don't know any better.

This is definitely gonna be one helluva...Oh Woe Is Us...offseason.

Only people with no lives are spending much of March as a fan looking for an excuse to talk high school football, we not even into spring football yet

Hoover is right but I will provide some serious takes on region 1.

This year and next year are colquitts best and last chance of winning anything in the next 10 years.

2023-24 season will be a slugfest between Lowndes Valdosta and Colquitt don't be surprised to see all 3 on them highest classifications to 10 and if one of them goes undefeated they could be looking at a national championship.

24-26 (if Dubose doesn't win a championship with the class of 25 he will not have his contract renewed). It will be all Lowndes after that expect the region to go back to how it was. Lowndes and Valdosta battling for first and the hawgs playing in the mud near the bottom of the region. I haven't seen the talent at the middle school level. A few years of rogers has messed that up. Put it this way at the youth levels for every 1 stud moultrie has Lowndes had 3 and Valdosta has 2.

Rufus meant no disrespect. People are born and die every day. Just so happens this guy died that most of us didn't know.  Condolences to the Dubose family on their loss.

On the other points in this thread:

1. 96 are you seriously hanging Dubbies job on a 2025 class? If that guy doesn't win something before then he'll be a cheerleader if still in Valdosta at that time.

2. If that 229 outfit did serious harm to Rush's IPF he'll be on someone's ass about that. Rush still runs Moultrie.

3. 96, football will never end in Colquitt County unless people quit fucking and producing children. Don't put Coach Hoon against a rock in his first year or two. I have it on good authority there's plenty of talent in the pipeline. The other thing is the GHSA is about to relax recruiting rules in South Georgia. If they do that the NIL money will be flowing at Colquitt. Even with Ms Violet's money gone to NC we're still loaded and can outspend anyone in the state.

4. I'm not sure what the 22 and 23 Colquitt teams are going to do but they're going to be fun to watch with an offense holding so many players a threat to score anytime they touch the ball. Their biggest opponent will most likely be their own teammates on defense.
