The king of the gods, or the jovian giant planet Jupiter? If you’re asking about the planet; Jupiter formed alongside the rest of the solar system about 4.5 billion years ago, when gravity pulled swirling dust and gas into the makeup of this planet. It’s made up of mostly hydrogen and helium, and the deeper you dive into the atmosphere of Jupiter, the greater the pressures and temperatures become. - Jupiter is more than twice as massive than the other planets of our solar system combined. - The length of a year on Jupiter is 11.86 Earth years. - Jupiter is approximately 5.2 au from the Sun. - Jupiter has a total of 79 moons. - Jupiter only takes 10 hours to complete a full rotation on its axis, giving it the shortest days of any of the planets. Lastly, Jupiter has the same makeup as a star but never grew large enough to ignite.

Crazy to think Jupiter is out there right now, as we speak. Now let’s talk Neptune, my avatar and favorite planet!

Unless she’s got some hooves on her.
