HurricaneNick
Great to be back on campus today. All 3 Heisman winners were on campus and honored. Heisman lane has been updated. Alabama offensive coordinator Bill O’Brien spoke at the ceremony today as well. John Huarte - Notre Dame Matt Leinart - USC Bryce Young - Alabama

maxchoboian
Impressive for MD to have such representation. Did Young have a Habitat for Humanity community build project to get to later on in the day, or just miss a memo on attire for the occasion? 1
Ga96
Taking credit for other schools players a mater dump tradition.

Looks like he was geurilla advertising for someone with a fairly poor rating. Sieze the moment.

Not sure what Mr. Bryce Young is thinking with that fashion statement. I always at least keep a pair of Khakis clean and one Polo shirt that doesn't have paint on it for special events. 😃
HooverOutlaw
I love Bryce but he needs help when dressing himself for a special occasion. He needs at least mens warehouse to help him.

Have a couple with some pretty nasty oil stains on them too.....couple with some holes and whatnot. Junk clothes, but still serve a purpose. 👍

They're not all Ralph Lauren Polo's. A Polo shirt is a Polo shirt though..... The Lauren Polo is a bit outdated really, but it's good to keep a couple around. People don't laugh at you if they see you in one when out and about. They just think you're old.

Slotback Right
Nice, but... Can't help but wonder why these MD QBs didn't make much of a splash in the pros. Servite has had zero Heisman Trophy winners, but the Friar QBs out performed the Monarch QBs in the pros. Servite's Steve Beuerlein - 15 years in the NFL - Career QB rating of 80.3 Servite's Turk Schonert - 9 years in the NFL - Career QB rating of 75.6 MD's Heisman QB Matt Leinart - 7 years in the NFL - Career QB rating of 70.2 MD's Heisman QB John Huarte - 6 years in the NFL - Career QB rating 22.4 (yes you read that right...22.4)

And the 7 year, 70 rating also includes a Heisman? I'd take either, of course. But I'd choose the Heisman.

You feel left out? I get it. Barkley’s still in the league and Young will play for a long time on Sundays. I can see JT collecting checks too but we’ll see. Kid playing now for the Monarchs is pretty damn good too as you know, but not going to predict an NFL career on him just yet. Did you only list two servite qb’s because you’ve only had 2 qb’s play in the league? 3 Heisman winners. 3 of 85 total Heisman winners went to Mater Dei. Carry on 🥂

Bodysurf
Bryce only went to Cathedral to buy his time until JT Daniels graduated. He also worked with his same QB coaches before and after attending MD. But Bryce owns everything to coach Pearson 😂 whoever that is!

Duckburghsfinest1987
meanwhile the state title drought continues for MD Boys Basketball for McKnight, the longest drought in the McKnight era, not since 2014. I wonder if MD becoming a national powerhouse again in football, has had an effect on their boys basketball program.

The basketball team was winning state titles before and after football became a national power in 90s. The biggest reason is the programs like Sierra Canyon. Notre Dame just got 2 transfers from Oak Hill in Virginia. You haven't seen these type of transfers at MD in a long time.
