By law. the responsibility for defending the Capitol falls first and foremost under Pelosi and her staff. 

They knew of threats well ahead of time.

They were offered help.

They refused and failed in their duty.

 

The DoD, under White House control, did its duty. It is even reflected in the official Capitol Police timeline of events.

 

The kangaroo court avoided these facts last night. Because they are liars.

Kudos to Rick Maddow(!) for pointing out that the violent elements of the riot WERE NOT EVEN AT THE TRUMP SPEECH.
