Not sure what to make of it....Rees splits the carries evenly between Tyree / Diggs /Audric....Audric has been the horse not sure why he is not getting the lions share of the carries....this loss is on Rees and ultimately Freeman....he may not be the answer long term as he had no  answers to get irish going vs stanford.

Notre Dame is in a tough spot. It’s a Catholic faith based institution and Catholic faith has been on the decline for years now. The academic standards take away alot of the choices. It’s almost impossible to recruit 4 and 5 star guys at the same rate as the usual suspects. Kids nowadays don’t care about mystique and history. It’s just the way it is now.

Audric fumbled the ball when ND was about to take the lead. He was carrying loosely this game for whatever reason. I have not been worried about ball security with him all season. Audric has been the only back fully healthy which is why you feel he's been the horse. Diggs is almost as healthy as he'll get. They will be sharing carries the remainder of this season unless someone is dinged up.

Defense played good enough. The offense needs to push the ball down the field. Mayer is eating up so many bodies that the outside guys have so many 1 on 1 chances.

As I type this, ND currently has top 2 recruiting classes in 2023 and 2024. Make your post make sense please!

Audric played like 10 snaps and what 3 carries, that’s 100% on tommy Rees granted that’s audrics 2nd time fumbling in his lifetime, yea that’s on him but tommy the Rat 🐀  Rees litterally rode Audric on the bench the whole damn game, he’s been best RB all season and you give him 3 carries, that’s on coach

drew pyne had a costly fumble but everyone wants to talk about AE7 fumble

Again he's been the only healthy back all season. He had 8 carries, Diggs had 9 and Tyree had 8. Diggs being healthy means Audric's carries are cut way down. Sorry to tell you but it's going to be like that the rest of the season. The real issue Rees wanting to throw in reverses when the run game is getting going. Running right at them was working and that should have continued until they stopped it. Tyree is the one who should lose carries imo.

Unless something changes, they won't be signing anywhere near all those kids who have "committed."

Why not? Despite what a lot of idiots think, ND continues to pump out pros. ND is top 5 with guys in the NFL but one would think they have like 7 guys in the league.

They can do reverses that’s that’s fine. Put tyree jay slot throw as many slants and screens and reverses as he wants, but fuck when it’s 4th and 1 and you got Audric and that OLine y the hell is Rees calling a reverse, you don’t need trickery just use your big boys

Because if they finish as a .500 team with the new coach, kids will question more and more if that is where they'll want to go. They lost to Marshall; they eeked by a bad Cal team; they were embarrassed by a shitty Stanford team. If they continue like this, plenty recruits will say, "no, thanks."

Are you thinking ND will end up in the top 5 recruiting classes for 2023 and 2024 if they lose remaining games to Syracuse, Clemson, USC, and at this rate also Navy or Boston College as well?

Has that stopped Texas A&M or some years Texas from having top 5 classes? ND has lost this last game because of bad luck. PAC 12 officials awarding Stanford the ball after replay showed that there was no evidence to over turn the call on the field was big. ND was up 14 to 13 at that point and would have had the ball inside the Stanford 40. Stanford goes on to kick a go ahead field goal. Then as ND is marching down to take the lead, we have a fumble after a big run.

Oh Jesus, don't make excuses. Why was the game even close enough to blame it on one call you disagreed with, and one turnover? Gotta take care of business, and they obviously didn't -- which has unfortunately become a pattern.

I'm not making excuses. I said it was bad luck. Stuff happens and it is what it is. The dude coaching Stanford knows what the hell he is doing. Did you think Stanford was going to keep on losing with him at the helm. He is a better coach than Rees and Freeman. He didn't necessarily out coach them last game but he certainly wasn't out coached.

You are in panic mode. There is one kid in the 2023 class that has a 50/50 chance of committing elsewhere. That's the safety from Texas. ND had one of the highest recruited backs commit on Saturday.

It's common sense that teams losing to Marshall and a 1-4 Stanford team will have recruits reconsider, unless they turn things around, which is what I said. It's not panic.

Where was he carrying loose? Also the other backs are FULLY healthy or should I say just as healthy as AE (if they'renot healthy than thats more of a case for AE to get more carries right?). He's the workhorse because he leads the RB room in EVERY Statiscal category with the same workload. Men lie, women lie, numbers don't!

Diggs has been healthy. Idk where your information is coming from. Audric outplayed all of the backs leading up to the spring game in which Diggs was injured. Diggs is Reese guy so he plays no matter what. Audric is the only back in the room Reese did not recruit and he treats him as such. Numbers say that he's your best back regardless of health. So again, why isn't he getting the boatload of the work until your other guys get "healthy?" Could it be because Rees fears that the tooth paste will be out of the jar and he can no longer manipulate Audric's workload once the world sees what he can do with a full workload?? Keep in mind he outplayed most those guys last year too, but couldn't get any touches in blowout games verse opponents like Virginia and Virginia Tech. Reese has been hiding him and never wanted a RB controversy. Reese knows as long as no one seen the kid he could paint a false narrative labeling him a third down back, who was big, slow, and couldn't catch. Problem is now the world has seen a glimpse and wants to see more; which is a nightmare come true for Reese who has tried his best to manipulate the situation. The new RB coach came in with intent to play the best guy; unlike Taylor who was on the record for saying Reese wants his guys first. That was the beginning to all of Reese problems. His play calling is off because he's coaching two games simultaneously.  One we see and the other that involves manipulating situations to justify his decision to play a kid or two in front of Audric. Nowing what I just told you tweets like this will begin to make sense. Reese tries to run these guys in unfavorable situations hoping he can now justify playing his "unhealthy" guy(s).
