I'd love to see Centennial play a team he's talking about. It would put to rest some of the tomfoolery he pedals with some Florida teams.  Osceola, Naples, Venice, Current Manatee,  Pine Forest,  Bartram Trail etc....

We know. But that doesn’t benefit him at all. I’ve (& many on here have) seen Venice and cen10 play live this year. It isn’t close. Nobody questioned Texas’ strength or depth when MD went to DV and embarrassed them. Los Al travels to Florida to play AHP & the result means California is a joke. Lol.

Bosco beats Miami central by 23 and then Bosco loses to two other so cal teams and it doesn’t matter Lol. FL Central goes on to run the table in Florida and of course it doesn’t matter.

MD/Bosco/C10 will play anyone. Aquinas decides the schedule for next year (MD is willing to host or go there). They’ll get the game if they want it. Maybe st joes at home  is more fitting.

Buchholz 48 Creekside 41

Buchholz 24 Vanguard 21

Buchholz was an undefeated team thanks to its schedule. Not because they're good

“Good” is a relative term. They may not be “good” relative to the national top 20, but they are most certainly “good” relative to the teams CC has beaten.

I certainly haven’t asserted anything special about Venice. Not sure why you inserted them into the conversation.

MD-STA is the game we want to see, no doubt. MD being so underclassmen dominated makes them extra daunting next year.

Yes,  but that schedule would have plenty of teams undefeated that don't need to be in any top 20 in the country ranking

Not this year,  but you have(They'd be your Bartram Trail or Pine Forest in other years). Truth be told,  they're never special.  They've been good and very good but anything beyond that no.

Any team that isn't elite on defense,  will get a ton of points scored on them and will be a 50/50 game at best. The number of teams that fit the elite defense is probably 10-15 in the country if that

Name the 10-15???

Or is that just some kind of imaginary number you dreamed up?

Year    CA Rank    Nat Rank    #T100wins     SOS

21        3                3                 5                     55.0

18        5                9                  1                     46.2

17        4                12                2                     55.1

16        3                8                 2                      55.3

15        2                2                 5                       58.1

14        3                9                 5                       58.9

13        6                37               1                       47.5

12        2                 18               3                      46.3

So I seen this on GSB national forum, pretty interesting. Cen10 has and will always be nationally relevant as long as Matt Logan is the HC. IMO they should be in the 10-15 range yearly and probably top 3 public school. At the end it the day though national polls are all subjective because a lot of teams aren’t playing H2H.

At the end of the day, the rankings are speculative and should only matter to those few programs hoping to claim MNC.  To that end, SJB is interested in Cen10’s ranking.  A first round playoff victory over a decent team only improves Cen10’s lot.

An SJB victory over Cen10 followed by a win over MD at the very least should jump them past SFA and at least pull them even with MD.  With a game in hand against the Nor Cal champ, they would have a claim for MNC, like it or not.

Each year is different. Venice was much better last year. They were a top 5 Fl. team then. This year they are WAY down.

People tend to be very lazy evaluating teams from other areas. They see them play one game in one season, and then decide that every other team from that school in every other season is identical. It's silly.

You're right and that includes yourself.

I did watch Venice last year though  and when they had Burton as well
