Fred
Sorry to see this. These scrimmages are double edged swords. The backup QB played linebacker and running back as well. Bones poking through the skin aren't pretty to see. http://www.11alive.com/sports/high-school/roswell-qb-recovering-after-suffering-gruesome-leg-injury-in-teams-scrimmage/464354868
PrepGridiron
Damn. I guess the one positive is that he's only a SOPHOMORE and has two years left
HawgGoneIt
Was the field grass or turf? Just curious. Also, best wishes to Riley. Get well soon.

First year was with 4* WR DJ Turner against Miami Central in game #1 Q1. That video is here and watch out...it's gruesome.... Then last year the 4* RB McFarland had the same exact injury in a preseason scrimmage. Both kids missed their senior years, but thankfully were committed beforehand and are in college playing now. It's such an extreme injury to look at with an untrained eye. I've talked to a few doctors that believe this injury is much easier concerning a return to full health because they basically have to re-set the bone allowing it to heal stronger. Good luck to the kid from Roswell. I'm sure he'll be back and ready to roll next season.
