Coletrain06
So I take it we have a 6-5 split on number 1? Curious how many of the voters are open to the possibility of switching their #1 if neither team loses?
PrepGridiron
If MD blows out SJB 2x, Centennial (with a healthy Tanner McKee), runs roughshod through the Trinity league and crushes DLS or the north rep, I will strongly consider MD as #1. For now, I just think IMG doesn't have to do much to win. They play a simple game, they win. Even elite teams have to take gambles with them and they make them pay. On the flip side, they can run A gap all day with a pass or two here and there and they walkaway with a win. They just don't have be creative because the talent is so much better than the next team. HawgGoneIt
I think you guys are getting a little soft on Georgia's rankings. Lowndes should probably be around 11-12, Archer probably about 18-20 with Tift and Grayson on the bubble.

Nice win but that was a surprise. Wasn’t expecting that. Pine Richland vs Wayne. Now that’s a nice and devastating win and on national TV. I don’t know how or why they are not in the 25. They look the part so far. Brand name vs Rodney Dangerfield I suppose.

I believe it will correct itself. BTW, don't think I didn't see what you did there Well, I'd imagine that Lowndes will either solidify or not their ranking one week from tonight. I suppose we'll also see what kind of monster the Tift Blue Devils are tonight. I think CP has them just outside the top 100, but I'm thinking that's probably far too low. If Colquitt is top 50ish as CP has them, then we'll start really learning about some of these other squads that are getting hit in the strength of schedule department, like Lowndes and Tift. I feel like Tift may be underrated due to recent years and no real hype. I'm looking forward to seeing them in person tonight to get a better grip on how they really are. As usual the poll is good, better than the rest.

I believe that. There is far more to football than fancy high powered offense though. I know that the high scoring teams are usually the ones catching all the glitz and glamour from the pollsters though.

And who has Ben Davis beaten to warrant a T10 ranking? The #2 team in Indiana, who already has three loses? IMO each of the 12 teams ranked below BD would beat them this season. Stinks that the oppressive rules in their states makes major OOS games almost impossible. BD hasn't just beaten the top teams in IN, they've dominated them. I realize that may not be saying much, but historically you don't see that. On the flip side, who has SFA beaten of note to warrant a top 10 ranking. For both teams, you are working more on transitive games then anything. 1
