coach_warren
I read that article, and if you know anything about USA Today they are in the bed with IMG. And that article had a very pro-IMG vibe to it. Like, "Look! All these top programs are getting transfers all the time. By the way, IMG does that too! IMG getting transfers is no different than what anybody else is doing. See, IMG is normal". Like trying to stuff a square peg in a round hole. It hasn't happened to this extent nationally. Not in the 90s or early - mid 2000s.
Mjd33
BG wasn't BG til Sanchez. IMG didn't exist til 13. SJB wasn't taking in ten 1A transfers til few years ago. MD didn't start taking in 6-7 1A transfers this season until Negro opened can of worms at SJB. St. John's and St. Francis only recent. Since Rush ProPst arrived at Colquitt in 2008! The Packers have gotten MAAAAYBE two dozens transfers TOTAL! Conversely, Grayson 2016 and Marietta 2017, have gotten TEN in ONE SUMMER! WHAT does it prove? That the team who can recruit BEST WINS? We had a clown from North FLAAAWDA Christian, Tim Cokely, where he had a 110-10 record and five state titles) who in three seasons, nearly RUINED the Colquitt County Packer football program! When he left, we had TWENTY players on the JV and one person in the Thousand Pound Club on the varsity! NOW, we have 90 plus on the JV, and 20 plus in the Thousand Pound Club on the varsity! I don't think that most private school coaches could get out of the own way, without massive transfers!
