Aquinas - Grayson fine Marrietta would get killed Decent game. MNW hasn't been anything spectacular lately. Fine Allen would crush Westlake Fine Dematha(Close game probably) Mater Dei easily GG
ECHS05
You really think Mater Dei beats Buford easily? Not the Buford of the last 3 years... the new Buford with John Ford as HC, and Aaron McLaughlin at QB (who may be the best freshman QB in the country). IMO... Buford is a young version of Mater Dei with a better coach and not quite as good of WRs but a better defense.

Too much depth for Buford? I dont believe any team, any where, can say such a thing. I realize Hillgrove is no where near Mater Dei... but Hillgrove is 7A and bigger than Buford... it was 17-17 at halftime... Buford outscored Hillgrove 31-0 in the 2nd half.. Hillgrove is coming off a 5-6 season in Georgia, how much quality depth do they really have? Just being tied with them doesn't bode well for Buford against a top team. TheMaximumHornetSting
Also @steeler01 I hate Marietta's non-region schedule. But dont sleep on them for the next 3 years. Watch them. They have the best QB in the 2020 class Harisson Bailey 5* QB sophomore. His freshman year he had 32 offers. On top of that Marietta has alot of transfers from Roswell and Mceachern. As well as 4 4*s on offense. Dont sleep on them. Last night they did what any good team should do and blew out Wheeler 55-0.

ECHS05
^^ Marietta isnt the same team they were last year Steeler. Their talent has been upgraded DRAMATICALLY. Expect them to be a big time team in 2018 especially.

ECHS05
Lets do this... Steeler... who wins Sept. 15th... the clear #1 team in South Carolina, South Pointe... or Buford? Thats shaping up to be an OOS game of 2 legit Top 50 teams.

That's fine, but only one can get the ball. I'd much rather have 3, 3 star lineman who can actually impact a play every down. Having guys along the LOS who can come in without much of a drop off is where the depth comes in to play.

Keep in mind this is only JR and SR... this isnt taking into account they have probably the best Freshman QB in the country Aaron McLaughlin, along with a lot of other talented young players 4* OT Harry Miller - #14 OT Nationally, leaning Clemson 4* RB Derrian Brown - #12 RB Nationally, 14 FBS offers 3* OT Carter Colquitt - #40 OT Nationally, offers from UF, Miss St., Mich. The one that led Roswell to 2 14-1 seasons in a row and back to back state runner ups. The offense isnt the same as it was. Look up Aaron McLaughlin... their QB. old_e
If your not playing in the top bracket of your own state, I really doubt you will compete with a top dog from one of the power states. Ask Aledo.

I think Buford this year would play with any team in GA and anywhere. And I personally think Mater Dei benefits playing in a state with poor DL play.
