(12-1) in 2016 and returns 2 of the top juniors in the state.

4* RB John Emery Jr

4* WR Qunton Torbor

Destrehan has a rising junior QB getting some early interest (couple of FCS offers) in JR Blood (6-2 185 lbs)-part of a two QB rotation last year, but it's his team this year.

How far can they go? Need to replace some key guys on both of the lines. The cast of skill players are some of the best in the state.

Projection: 5A Semifinals...

2018 may be the year of the Wildcat..

Darkhorse???  I thought (or would think) they'd be one of the favorites???

Health and decision making (They panicked against O.P. Walker by abandoning the run early) are the keys in my opinion.

The skill guys are set and seasoned (experienced).  All they gotta do is replace some guys in the trenches (important...but it's Desty...they're capable).

I agree with you 100% on this one...But I wouldn't exactly call them a Darkhorse...

That would be Zachary imo. and Acadiana has a red X on them if they meet again...

That is kinda funny. A 12-1 team is a dark horse.

Alabama is a dark horse national title contender. 😵

Well all the NOLA teams are getting more love...and Ehret should have beaten them last season (Refs).  So I see his point....That and Desty does slack off when they get leads...

Destrehan doesn't exactly play in the toughest district in the state. Other than Hahnville and East St John it's pretty damn weak most years. It's hurts them come playoff time, I believe. Destrehan did schedule Jesuit (NOLA) Week 8 this year.

When Destrehan ruled Louisiana in 2007 and 2008 (30 game win streak) they were just that good/talented...it did not matter.

Only Louisiana can have a #438 team nationally like Destrehan with this kind of skill.

2* QB-Kohen Granier (FCS Nicholls State commit)

4* RB-John Emery (LSU, Alabama, Georgia)-2019

2* RB Kristian Mosley (FCS Southern commit)

4* WR Quinton Torbor (Auburn, Georgia, etc)-2019

3* WR Michael Young (Notre Dame commit)

3* WR Justin Jefferson (LSU commit)

Links available upon request. I would supply them, but mooch is a real nobody.

NJ has to go OOS to see that kind of firepower........xD

Freakin unreal........
