TheRealCAJ
The location of LSU’s season-opening football game against BYU is in serious doubt. Significant flooding in Houston could force the Tigers-Cougars game Saturday night from NRG Stadium, though a decision on that has not been made. School officials, those from the AdvoCare Texas Kickoff and ESPN remain in contact about a potential relocation. All options are “on the table,” aside from playing the game Sunday, a source told The Advocate. Officials are weighing “several options,” including playing the game at LSU’s Tiger Stadium. BYU does not allow its athletic teams to play Sundays, according university policy in accordance with the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. The Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans hosts the Saints’ final preseason game against the Ravens on Thursday night but the facility may be and option to host LSU-BYU on Saturday, if needed.
