You can say that again.  Bingham welcomes East to the new class with a message.

Honestly what did anyone rational about HS football expect. We have seen lower class teams try to step up and get hammered before. Can East get better? ... Yes ... but they  will have to grow into the Bingham level. You won't be a big dog until you beat the big dog.

I don't think anyone expected this result.  Bingham winning is not a big surprise, the differential is.

You are correct about what was expected... but I took Bingham to win by at lest 10 to 14pts. Pushing aside all of the hype, the was all new to East. Bingham has been there before. What most overlooked was that their studs were just as big as East's but with more polish and less emotion due to their experience in big games. It showed.

Well fellas, nothing really to say.  Never been one to make excuses.  Will not attempt to do so now.  It was a humbling experience last night.  A good old fashion butt whipping.  We were beaten in every phase of the game.  Their kids played with a sense of urgency.  Perhaps there was some arrogance on our part our coaches and kids coming into the game.  This loss is definitely on our coaching staff. Still don't feel that Bingham is 30 plus points better then our program.  But it is what it is.  Give credit where credit is due.  They are still the standard of high school football here in Utah.

Confident that we will rebound from this experience.  We have no choice with Saguaro waiting in the wings.  Very confident that we will see them again at the end of the season.  Congrats again to the Bingham Miners on their dominating performance last night.

East will learn more from this game than from just about any other they've played. It's extremely tough for an upstart to dethrone the champ on the first attempt. Extremely hard. East will close the gap eventually.
