Slaying!

#FlyoverFred  Why does Calif always have to be the one who travels.  We sent at least (2) schools to Ga in the past 8 years.  How many Ga teams came to Calif, or AZ or NV?

Since you wanna talk about Slaying. How about I slay you with some facts.

ESPN footed the full bill for both of those games.

Just to give you a bit of Financial knowledge

Paragon/ESPN paid 90K both times to get both schools out to GA. Why did they come to GA you ask? Becaise we draw in more of a crowd than CA does...

Heres some more knowledge for ya.

Colquitt had 9/29 open. Rush Talked to Cen10 about filling that slot and you can ask GSB if you think Im lying.

Cen10 would not be able to make it to GA because they did not have the funding they needed 16K minimum. Vs Bishop Sullivan who needed no stippened at all.

So now heres some slaying for you

Your public schools unless they have massive help can not make a trip from CA to GA wothout help.

If ESPN footed the bill, then why was neither game on ESPN?

It was an honest question because I didn't know.  Two teams is eight years is not a huge number.  The way you were talking it seemed like it was maybe twenty teams.  Besides, y'all are the ones that are supposed to be in the rich state.  We're just poor dirt farmers and wood choppers here.

To answer the second question, we don't have a culture of traveling all over the US as we have traditionally had plenty of stout competition close by that obviously doesn't exist close to CA.  It takes a while to get that mindset.  We as a state are making progress in that area but as the saying goes, crawl before you walk, walk before you run.

Spoken like someone who has to find comfort in "good" losses.  You may not like who we play, but they often are highly ranked regardless of your opinion.  Show me where wins and losses don't matter.  I'm waiting.

Wins don't matter when they are against crappy teams (ISB ring a bell) anybody can "win" those games. You can stop waiting now

So you're saying ESPN forked out around 90k to bring VM to coldcuts and then not air the game?  ROTFLMAO!!!  Ok now Im really done with the slaying.  Layoff the mota amigo. Lol.

If you honestly think Colquitt paid 90K to get VM out here.

You are crazy.

Yes Paragon/ESPN set up and paid for the game.

CA's top 4 go 4-0 against anyone except Grayson -- that's 12-0 and not one game would GA be less than a 3:1 dog

i was generous in saying grayson might win 2

i understand you're the guy that said there's 50 DLS's in TX -- that wasn't even worthy of a "c'mon dude"

We have a lot more DLS type teams than anyone is willing to admit.   The truth is having teams like DLS is not really all that big of deal.

Before you can run your mouth about Killing the top of Georgia - you might work on winning at least one big game.

The top of California is not striking fear into anyone.  Not even Utah :)

You just better be glad that DLS didn't play one of the really good teams that Trinity has had in the past.  You guys played one the smaller and least athletic Trinity teams that they produced in the last decade.

Mark my words BG will put beat down on DLS and this BG isn't nearly what they had last year!

#FlyoverFred...Yes Calif only sent (2) teams on a plane to Ga.  But Calif teams also #packedbags and flew to:

Fla, NJ, Ohio, Hawaii, Oregon, Texas, Maryland, Arizona, Utah, etc.     Some of those states, Calif has multiple plane trips to.   Many of those games were public schools, including Crenshaw which is an inner City Los Angeles team with zero travel budget.

Anyway you look at it, Ga teams in general, don't want to travel.

How many teams does Texas have in the National Top 10?

Thought so.

[...] California football sucks again!

Wait, what?

That ET team beat that year's TX state champions by 10 points.

Last year, SJB lost to BG by 15. But Cedar Hill lost to BG by 30.

Last year, Cen10 lost to IMG by a last-second two-point conversion. SJB beat OH's state champions, 35-0, before beating that same Cen10 team.

This year, SJB held STA to fewer than 100 yards of total offense before losing by 6 in OT.

CA's recent resume against top OOS programs is not only good in itself, but it's better than TX's.

So if CA football sucks, what does that say about TX football?

lol at this post

ET beat DLS -  DLS doesn't lose another game the remainder of the year

North Shore had been beat the previous 2 weeks before Trinity ever played them.  by Manvel - who got beat 3 times on the year and by Westfield who got beat 2 times themselves.  -  Trinity got beat in the 1st round by S. Grand Praire who themselves finishe 4th in 7 team district and had 5 loses on the year.

At the end of the day every team mentioned above and all the teams that beat these teams could have handled DLS - Just like Trinity

Your point on ET vs North Shore would only be valid if North Shore would have not been beat the two previous games before they played Trinity.

Also - Trinity only beat 3 loss SLC 37-35  -  Funny thing is SLC got beat in the 2nd Round by 4 loss team Guyer who eventually got beat by Mansfield 44-7-  Mansfield themselves lost 3 times and ended up getting beat 49-21 by Lake Travis

Again - we have a lot more DLS type quality than you will be willing to admit.

You might also consider the structure of our playoff system too before running your mouth about who wins state championships

In 2016 SJB was the best team in CA -  Just like in 2015 DLS was the best team in CA -  In 2015 it didn't take our best to beat your best - Hey but keep trying to tell yourself that CA is on par with the best in the nation.  Most on this board realize that California outside of a few recruited schools pretty much sucks -

By the way that was not a great STA team that beat SJB the other day.   had that STA team being playing some of the other bad boys of Florida they might have taken early season loss like they did to BTW last year.

Trust me STA Coaches are not running around saying we must be really good because we beat SJB.  They are saying we got to get better offensive play - QB play or we could be in trouble vs Florida's best.
