The United States is the country with the most civilian-held firearms. With less than 5 percent of the world's population, it accounts for 46 percent of global civilian gun ownership. As estimated by the Small Arms Survey in Switzerland, the global stockpile of civilian-held firearms has increased from 650 million in 2006 to 857 million in 2017, largely attributable to soaring figures in the United States. In 2017, about 393.3 million guns were privately owned in the United States at a time when its population was less than 326.5 million. This amounts to 120.5 firearms for every 100 people. The second-ranked country was war-torn Yemen, with 52.8 guns per 100 people. While the United States ranks first in the world in terms of both individual gun ownership and the number of guns per capita, only about 1.07 million civilian guns are registered, indicating that the vast majority of firearms owned by civilians are left unregistered and uncounted.

Obama was the biggest influence into obtaining guns because of his fascist regime. People felt they needed to protect themselves because they had to defend themself against world terrorists and the government. Obama wanted to dismantle the 2nd amendment like Biden does. So guns sales should keep soaring

Gun sales went up for fear of having a black man named Obama as president along with the fear of a fantasy that Obama was coming for their guns.

Depetris-Chauvin suggested it was a fear of upcoming gun control measures. During the 2008 campaign, Americans were bombarded by ads that suggested Democrats would pass big restrictions on firearms — possibly leading to the full confiscation of people's firearms. (This has been a standard line by the NRA since at least the 1970s: the idea that any gun control laws will lead to a full gun ban.) So many Americans stockpiled guns in order to avoid restrictions that might come in the future.

Still, Depetris-Chauvin didn't completely rule out other explanations related to Obama. It's possible, he wrote, that people bought more guns because Obama's name and race made them think he posed a security threat. Or perhaps people feared that Obama's liberal views would lead to tyrannical policies that would warrant an armed rebellion.

Went to the range tonight with my younger boy. Put about 250 rounds through our rifles and had our best performances ever hitting the red. Lots of fun.  I also tried out my new Walther PDP Pro Compact. What a sweet pistol. Highly recommend it.

For those of you interested, here is a great site for finding the best deals out there:

Is that why under his administration white males occupied Federal lands invented a 3rd party?  Funny how both magically disappeared when he left office.  Hmmmm.  Me smells some racist Bullshit about that as do most black people.  Imagine if black men with fist raised on a black flag would have swarmed the Capital or occupied Federal lands.  Those of us in realism know what would have happened.   We've been claiming the Govt was B.S. since the 50s with CointelPro.  You know when they actually spied and killed us.  King, Evers, Hampton Malcolm, Elijah, Fannie Lou Hamer, The Panther Party.  Now tell as again about Obama and his fascist regime.  We actually find this revisionism with extreme skepticism AKA B.S. Maybe the 50% white side of him drove this.  After all we have hundreds of years of this fascism.  That no one ever gave a fuck about.  All of a sudden the Govt is corrupt.  You always seem to be 40yrs behind.  I will save brain power and not explain that.  Ali and King are great references.  They are magically loved and even quoted now. Hypocrisy or Tricknology 101 .  I love my Guns The Shotgun, Pistol and rifle.  All foes foreign or domestic can get that smoke. What happened when the Panthers were at the forefront of the 2nd Amendment and what did that Fascist Reagan do?  I will wait on the revisionism and whataboutism.

Why?  Because when you’re off in the middle of nowhere on an adventure ride, you’ve stopped for a snack and a cold beer and a couple of meth heads from 29 palms in a beat up old truck attempts to shake you down, there’s nothing more satisfying than to see the quizzical look on their faces when your buddies stick 40ca in their grill and kindly ask them to drop their clips on the desert floor, get back in their piece of shit truck, and go back to their wasted life.  That’s good enough for me.
