"They only brought this Fake, Corrupt, and Disgraceful Charge against me because I stand with the American People, and they know that I cannot get a fair trial in New York!" Trump, who was born in Queens, complained in a post on his social media app, Truth Social. Indeed, Trump isn't very popular in his home city, which overwhelmingly voted for Hillary Clinton in 2016 and Joe Biden in 2020. Staten Island was the only borough that went for Trump – both times.
