Question of the day...???

Troll

Recommended Posts

how many people here would still post anything on the internet...

if the law passes that offers "20 years jail time"

for posting "disinformation (loosely defined of course)" ?!?!?

Show of hands? 🙌

PS: did you guys like yer free internet

while you had it?

BTW: even if you only post all "gov approved" material,

that "approval" changes frequently enough...

when men talk they usually have something to say on point...

apparently you don't Mr. Hush. LOL

And yer advise won't work

when you set such a poor and foolish example.

An acquaintance of mine has always been so concerned about information privacy, he’s never owned a computer or for that matter a cell phone, meaning he has literally 0 internet footprint.  I always thought it was an overly extreme position to take, but, it has made it difficult for certain people to keep tabs on him.
As you mention, you can’t predict when someone might be able to gain access to your activity.

being such an extreme position to take...

might explain why the most well known  "cast of corporate computer creators"

have raised their families that way...

and never allowed their children to partake.

go figure...

🤔

assuming everyone knows everything... is probably your best bet,

otherwise you'll need to worry about everything...

Of course that is Not much different than "real life". 🤷‍♂️

Computer info being available to "any idiot" tho, is a much more modern and unrealized problem...

PS: Note the most recent calls for restricting "public use" of AI apps....

who's asking for that???

BTW: those new "patriot act" restriction rules no one is talking about, gives the much different approach of "possible criminal offense" tho, regardless of any "good faith" or actual belief in what you might post... criminalizing "mis-information" could easily wind up only criminalizing ...."those who were mis-informed"

🤔

Boys learn from their parents, mainly the father but get a ton of value from mom. Your skirt is still ruffled and your Bobbie socks are faded.

Set your own example and be a man. Let the strings go.

sounds like ya got some personal problems...

we'll keep that in mind when you post,

but most if it,

you will have to work on for yourself.

Imagine a situation where a guy riding his bike off road, drags his bike under 3 closed gates (private road) to access what he has heard to be a legendary challenge and captures video of a 79 year old guy bombing down a highly technical trail.  The old guy knew the motorcyclist shouldn’t have been there,  so not knowing his motive, did his best to evade him.   At one point the old guy flys down a steep straight section and launches over the edge.  The motorcyclist thinks he’s going to find a mangled mess of man and bike but to his amazement, the guy simply cleared three very rocky technical switchbacks landing on a 40 degree loose rocky section and disappeared in a cloud of dust thereby ensuring the motorcyclist would not catch him.

Do you think that warrants authorities trying to chase the old guy down for two years to get a satisfactory explanation of how he was able to do something that defied any rational explanation?  Well, in America, it does. What kind of “criminal offense” might he have committed?

No problems here Harry. When you get back, will discuss that probe.

need to see the video LOL...

and 40 degrees bomb drop is pretty sick haha

as far as "offense committed" ?

sounds like a bruised ego / pissed somebody off,  whether justified or not...🤷‍♂️

it's always possible that trespasser, may have felt you  er the old man playing lead, was trying to get him killed, and subsequently Karen'd out...LOL

PS: chasing the old guy down "to get an explanation" seems harmless,

not that he's necessarily owed one, but if that's all they were after, after two years, I'm not so sure I understand the perceived animosity...

BTW: There's always more to the story...

like why was the guy (really) trespassing to begin with?  IE bomb drop not necessarily the root cause...🤷‍♂️

The motorcycle rider was an accomplished off road rider, at one time a competitive trials rider, and a downhill mountain bike enthusiast.  His inability to keep up with the old man spells bruised ego all the way.

need to see the video LOL..

After the original presentation to the local CO sheriff resulted in no action, the motorcyclist had his wife give a copy to her brother in law at the state level.  She didn’t understand the difference between “move” and “copy” for file transfers.  This turned out to be a big mistake for them.

In this case, much more.  So sad that one man’s bad choice led to a chain reaction of unfortunate repercussions, and as yet, no discovery. The property owners all sold out, not for the money, but you don’t buy land in isolated areas hoping for attention.

LOL, I’m no stranger to giving a go at off road trails on any of my adv bikes or my Beta 390 RS, but even on a full suspension mountain bike, parts of that road are simply not traversable given my moderate skill level.

Great question.  Property owners had recorded a few mountain bikers over the years to have trespassed, but in each case, 12 mi later, they exited the road at the lower entrance hours later.
