golfaddict1
@Wildcat Will I wanted to add a thread on Dr Prinz, per my mention the other day. Prinz was probably the 2nd most known man in my hometown in the 70’s… the 1st being Richie “the boot” Boiardo. Supposedly, the Sopranos (family and associates) was based on his crime family in NJ (Genovese). Dad always joked that we probably lived in the safest town in the country at the time. golfaddict1
Oswiecem driving distance from Krakow was about an hour and 15 min approx in the early 90’s when I began visiting and now likely takes 40-45 min. Located to the east of Oswiecem, Krakow benefited from westerly winds from Ukraine thankfully. @DevilDogyou’ll notice at the top, Częstochowa. That’s where the “Black Madonna” painting is located and featured. It was my go to stopping spot on way to Krakow from landing in Warsaw. I’m not very religious, but that’s something I won’t miss, given the chance. The church (monastery) my wife and I married in dates back to the 13th century. The main priest at the time was so cool and every visit to Krakow I visited him. He invited me to play tennis with him on their clay tennis court on the monastery grounds, but he had a leg injury one visit and another visit he wasn’t there and so on. Lastly, the a is missing at the end. Wieliczka (right next to Krakow) has a famous salt mine (very cool with sculptures) that I’ve been to with family, including my parents (who also visited Oswiecim/Auschwitz museum and grounds with me and fam).

Don't say Black Madonna even with the many pictures of her all over Europe. The revisionist will come in and declare they are not really Black. Pretty amazing you got married there sir. I did a 6 month study on the Black Madonna's around the World. I'm planning with the most highest acceptance in the next 2 years to visit the Churches of Lalibela in Ethiopia. Next to Jerusalem Ethiopia is the most sacred religious place on Earth with its history of the Abrahamic Faith's. Check out the Churches in Lalibela and try to explain what those ancient Nubians built.
