Since we’re under spam attack and we’re in a dead period of sports before football, so why not

Here is Dr. Beach's complete 2023 top 10:

1. St. George Island State Park, Florida Panhandle

2. Duke Kahanamoku Beach, Oahu, Hawaii

3. Coopers Beach, Southampton, New York

4. Caladesi Island State Park, Dunedin/Clearwater, Florida

5. Lighthouse Beach, Buxton, Outer Banks of North Carolina

6. Coronado Beach, San Diego

7. Wailea Beach, Maui, Hawaii

8. Beachwalker Park, Kiawah Island, South Carolina

9. Poipu Beach, Kauai, Hawaii

10. Coast Guard Beach, Cape Cod, Massachusetts

I may pick a few beaches over St. George anyway. Pensacola Beach. Ft. Walton Beach. Destin. Also there are some pretty nice beaches down around Tampa. Siesta Key etc. 

Tell Dr. Beach to keep SGI out his beach of a mouf!

Destin and Fort Walton Beach sugar white sand and emerald water is #1 in my book. I'd like to see a better beach in the world.

I have been on several cruises not even the Caribbean tops this Destin. 

Overrated beaches for me 

#1 beaches in Southern California or the San Francisco area. Water is not clear brown/tan sand in Southern California and dark sand in San Francisco. 

#2 East coast of Florida 

#3 Myrtle Beach South Carolina 

#4 Texas Beaches

#5 Mississippi coast

 

This week in Destin at Miramar beach. Best in the world IMO.

Myrtle beach is a dump, and is like if the Jersey shore had a kid with  some ratchet chick on bourbon street Nola

Myrtle Beach has a terrible reputation. Many people we have met in Destin that used to go to Myrtle Beach are shocked how nice Destin is and would never go to back to Myrtle Beach . They described Myrtle Beach as rough and inter city ghetto like.

This year, there is seaweed and algae heavy on the usial top beaches. That's how they picked SGI. A lot less there. Same sand. The water is still a bit darker because of the fresh water streams and rivers dumping in nearby. Great surf fishing there too.

So how good. Is that too. 10 overrated? Underated?

It's a matter of opinion. I watched Dr. Beach give his reasoning this morning. If you want clear blue water but a beach and water loaded with seaweed and people go to the usual culprit beaches. 

If you want a more quiet, lesser seaweed but less clear watet, SGI is good. 

I like SGI personally. I'll drive there over PCB but, lately I've been going to Pensacola or Jacksonville/Amelia Island/Fernadina. Depends on which ocean I want. I just have places to stay in Pensacola so I don't have to spend a fortune on lodging. The beach is much like PCB. 

It's all in preference. 

I like the white sugar sands of the gulf coast over all. That includes SGI

Poipu Beach is Beautiful... 

St.George is nice too 

But a NY beach?.... 

Who let these writers in FreeBirds drug stash? 

May as well throw a Oregon Coast beach in there...

Im starting to hate PCB... 

Its not the same as when I was a teenager... 

And I can't do Daytona too much anymore... 

Ormond Beach was nice... 

Pensacola is nice too though
