What do these teams have in common? They have the balls to put themselves out there and play the best.

No shame in that. They all have my respect and deserve all of it.

Mater Dei? Whens the last time you heard of them playing an OOS game before this year... when they had their best team ever.

Scheduling a down BG and ... whatever BC is.

Miami Central ya... BG yea... and BC yeah... but Mater Dei? Please.

At the time of scheduling both those teams were National Top 10

Plus we play SJB and Cen10 every year. Soooo bye

How are THEY different than Colquitt? It ain't their fault that people either won't play um! Or want a king's ransom to travel! EVERY year, Colquitt has SEVEN non region games to fulfill! And they had two OOS opponents cancel at the eleventh hour this season! It's kinda frustrating when the BNU will give your team $12,500 to travel, but wants $30,000 to visit you!

2007

The only people that said BG was going to be down was me, that I recall, and it's not that BG is down, it's that they were up the past 3 years. You and everyone else had them as the top team after they beat DeMatha week 1. Had BG  not played MD, but DLS and some how beat Central , you would've kept them number 1 I bet.

Mater Dei couldn't beat the top teams in SoCal, why go and schedule an OOS power when you're losing at home? Unless Mater Dei couldn't get games in SoCal, there was no reason for them to go and play an OOS power like BG was from 2014-2016.

Last year MD went undefeated in SoCal, only losing to SJB in the finals, and obliterating everyone else. It makes sense to go OOS and schedule a power, since no team outside of CC and SJB can give them a 4 quarter game.

Because non of those teams just lost to a school named Brokeback.

It is. Due to the parity.

Why such little respect for MD? The DBP MNC teams would have a difficult time beating 2017 MD. Haven't you been reading Sammys posts?

I respect all teams and have read Sammys posts. Like I told you last year started the slide and this year it's very evident. But 2012-15 NJ was still more that respectable vs OOS competition. I'm wondering if NJ can compete vs any top 25 teams any more? Parity and spread out talent doesn't make for good football on a national level. When they play each other there will be some entertaining games I'm sure.
