I'm not completely sure, I haven't been paying close attention to the defensive numbers or the exact number of passing and rushing yards. If if they win Saturday, I will tackle it and look over the body of work in detail. The scoring record is a big deal, but there's more to it in deciding. 2008 is the best unless LT takes apart The Woodlands (and even then, it's still close, because I can promise you 08 LT would not have been gashed against the run at times like 16 LT was). They rank in the top 3, among 08 and 09. I think they're better than 11. 11 had a great defense, but the offense wasn't in the same universe as the 2016 group is. Like *most fans, I truly do respect all opponents because you can be beat on any given Friday (or Saturday's/Sunday's-you get it). And I never said they would win that worthless popularity contest award they call the MNC. I was just curious if a public 6A team in today's world would have a chance with all the private schools who can't win without all the talent in the world out there. Sure, there are schools who schedule out of state games in an attempt to build a resume that is deserving of it. But all I care about is winning a state championship. I was toying with the hypothetical scenario of what it would take in this season to do it. Doing that does not mean I was "hell bent" on winning it. The state championship is where it's at. Champa Posted December 11, 2016 Report Share Posted December 11, 2016 I'll be pulling for The Woodlands and Desoto. Lake Travis looked like the best team in the state last year. Then they played Katy and got mauled. TW doesn't have a godlike defense like Katy had last year, so unfortunately, I don't see them being able to pull off the win.
