That may make you Michigan boys happy but in Alabama that sucks.

Gimmicks don't win National titles.

Who is more overrated him or Bo.

The alumni will start turning on him soon I think. Michigan is too proud of a team to have a coach whose 1-4 against msu and osu

No they won't, it's to soon.

You always give a coach 3 to 4 years to get his players in. It's not like Michigan has sucked

Any elite coach at elite school by year 4 should win the National title and undefeated.

Bryant in 61

Stallings 92

Saban 09

By the way all at Alabama.

Michigan is a good program but not a blue blood.

How many other titles did Stallings win? The other 2 are 2 of the all time best coaches that happened to coach at Bama. And BTW I believe UM is the all time leader in wins.

Stallings

1991 11-1

1992 13-0

1994 12-1

1996 10-3

Plus he had a winning record vs all the big rivals unlike Harbaugh.

Stallings was also the DB Coach for the cowboys when they won the Superbowl 12

He was one of the Junction Boys under Bear Bryant at A&M

He was the HFC at A&M from 1965 to 1971  his record was only 27-45-1

He was part of 2 National Championships as assistant under Bear Bryant

He was 6-1 in bowl games.

After finishing his career at Alabama his coaching record went from 27-45-1  to 97-61-2  with one national championship.

Last I heard he is back in his home town of Paris TX living on his ranch

Did you know that Raymond Berry NFL HOF and Gene Stallings both played at Paris High School at the same time?

So I would say Michigan fans and alumni gonna get restless with him. Won't be top 4 again this year

How do you know he won't be top 4 this year? Probably not but you speak like its a fact. No way alumni are restless with him at this point in time.  Remember Mich. has won only 1 NC's in the modern era (1997).

I don't think they will, but it's pretty much besides the point.  He took over a program that was in the dumps and made them contenders again.   That was step 1.  Step 2 will be to win the Big 10.  Step 3 is to make the top 4 team playoff.  IMO he will get another 3-4 year window to try and get those steps 2 and 3 accomplished, which I believe is fair.  Besides all that, every team beside a handful would take him as their coach tomorrow if he was available.  Just basically a troll OP here.

Its not a troll post at all. You really think Michigan is gonna give this guy 8 years?? Hes 1-4 against MSU and OSU. Thats horrific. Step 2 wil be hard enough for him to accomplish. Step 3 and 4 shouldnt even be on the radar yet. You have to win the conference first.

You talk like it's never happened. Sure it's easy to say they won't but you talk like it's written in stone. And Harbaugh will be judged by his entire body of work not what he has done last 9 games.

2 teams that matter because of the rivalry hes 1-4. Its pretty much written in stone Michigan will not make top 4 which does suck because i wanted to see Alabama beat them so badly. Every year i hope to see Michigan vs Alabama in the playoffs and every year im disappointed oh well. Michigan last two games are Wisconsin and OSU

Say he finishes 10-3, 11-2 this year. You really think he will have a hot coaching seat? If he finishes at 10-3 again he's 30-6 in 3 years which is 83% winning. He's not going anywhere and will be given plenty of time.

How many of those wins are against nobodies?? Beating Indiana Hawaii AF and such really means nothing. You have to count the games that matter. The OSU Wisconsin MSU games plus the OOS games that are relevant. Like the win over Florida thats a good win. Im sure A&M regrets giving Sumlin plenty of time hes 1-12 i believe against Alabama and LSU
